Look at lovely Louis showing off his hard work! 💛

We've been working on Louis' loose lead walking, as well as building his 'close' position for those moments when we need him to stay nearby and safe.

He's been making brilliant progress, and here he is putting those skills into practice by walking calmly past a person while maintaining his position and focus!

That might not sound like a big deal, but Louis absolutely LOVES humans and would usually be pulling over to say hello to everyone he meets!

So this is a fantastic achievement for him, and it's lovely to see all that practice paying off! 🫶🐾

Lovely Trainer-Led Walks yesterday with Dave and Maggie! 🐾

Maggie has been enjoying some time off while recovering from an injury, but she's now back in action and has made a brilliant recovery!

Hopefully, it won't be long before these two are back enjoying their walks together again, because Dave has definitely missed having his partner in crime by his side!

Teddy and Foxy came out with us for the 2nd time at the end of September. Just look how happy Ted looks!

His first outing to the training field had him feeling a little bit nervous of the new environment, and he wanted to really take his time looking around.

This time he was straight off exploring! Running along side his brother Foxy, and making sure he didn't miss any of the good sniffs!

They are such a funny little duo, and spending time with them is an absolute pleasure 🐾

Is your puppy or young dog experiencing their first Halloween and Bonfire Night this year?

Join us this Saturday for a special group session designed for puppies and dogs up to 1 year old, helping them start building positive associations with some of the strange sights and sounds that come with this time of year.

During the session, we’ll gently introduce:

🎃 Spooky Halloween decorations and unusual objects
🎆 Firework sounds played at a carefully controlled level
🐾 Confidence-building activities and positive exposure

Everything will be introduced gradually and at each individual dog’s pace. The aim isn’t to overwhelm them or see how much they can cope with, it’s to begin desensitisation early and help make these new experiences feel safe and uneventful before Halloween and Bonfire Night arrive.

Meet Kendrick!

This handsome Sprocker had his Behaviour Assessment yesterday to get some support with resource guarding.

He’s a super quick learner and did brilliantly during his assessment! We’ve got a plan in place to help him and his family feel more confident at home, and we can’t wait to get started with his behaviour work in a couple of weeks 🐾

Dougal and his pawrents are certainly no strangers to our Reactive Dog Classes! His human, Alyssa, is a Certified Animal Behaviourist and actually ran these classes herself before entrusting me with taking over the reins 🥰

It’s always so lovely to see all three of them, and Dougal did brilliantly during class last week. He worked really well around the other dogs and handled everything we asked of him beautifully — which was especially lovely to see after he’d had quite the eventful week in the run-up to class!

Such a lovely session from Dougal and his humans, and always a pleasure having them at class 🩵

A very happy birthday to this silly, fun loving boy who turns 5 today! 🥳

Here’s to many more years of Hamish entertaining us with his antics, keeping everyone on their toes, and of course… spending his owners hard earned money at the vets after eating absolutely anything and everything that isn’t actually edible. 🤦‍♀️

I’m really pleased to share that I’ve officially passed my Dog Law course with a DISTINCTION! 🥳

Dog training and behaviour isn’t just about understanding dogs. Having a solid understanding of the legislation surrounding dogs, their owners and those working professionally with them is such an important part of providing responsible, well-informed support.

I’m a big believer that you should never stop learning in this industry, so it feels lovely to have another qualification completed… especially with a distinction!

Now, onwards to the next one! 📚🐶

Meet Dunkel! 🐾

This handsome little Dachshund joined us for his first Reactive Dog Class last week.

In true Dachshund style, Dunkel deals with his big feelings by making sure absolutely everyone knows about them 📢 But underneath all that shouting is a little dog who sometimes finds the world a bit overwhelming and needs some help learning how to cope around his triggers.

Both Dunkel and his human did brilliantly for their first class, working at a pace and distance that felt manageable for him and giving him plenty of opportunities to learn without becoming overwhelmed.

We loved having them both and look forward to seeing them again at class! 🐾
