At Evolving4paws, we use positive reinforcement through games and the dogs’ choices.

Guidance not control.

Cues not commands.

Patience.

We ‘teach’ you skills to ‘teach’ your dogs in order that patterns are developed to ‘help’ them.

These skills are taught without distraction and then we ‘help’ the dog generalise to all areas and especially as arousal creeps in,rather than ‘correcting’ behaviours when they can’t cope in the situation. (Lack the skills)

What does ‘correction’ do? :

Hurts
Keeps confidence low
Shuts the dog down
Teaches nothing (what would you like instead?)
Can then make ‘that thing’ a predictor of pain.
Takes away from your relationship, focus and proximity ‘choices’.

BEYOND PUPS

🔥Classes will suit dogs from 6 months;

Helping you through adolescence,whilst keeping your relationship intact during this period, in a fun, positive way.

🔥Classes will combine indoor and outdoor work,leading to working in a secure field environment’

⭐️There are two options available :

Thursdays: NOON starting 12/3

Saturdays: 13.10 starting 14/3

⭐️Both options are 5 week blocks⭐️ £ 75

🔥Let us look at your individual ‘needs’ regarding walking nicely on a lead; confidence, play, engagement, nose-work tasters and recall…. 🔥

💡Plenty of lightbulb moments along the way… the ‘cause’ of your ‘struggle’ isn’t always what you think💡

⭐️We will be incorporating fun, obedience-style training; giving you and your dog coping skills for real life situations and building on the enjoyment of walking with your dog.

🔥If you would like the opportunity to reinforce/refresh your current skills or proof them in more distracting environments then this is for you too! 🔥

NB To ensure progress and consistency in training it is important that you commit to attending all 5 classes 🔥(except in unforeseen circumstances …then please message me ASAP)

😮 💥 Too good not to share 🤩 💥

This young pup is Zoey a six month old 🔥🔥Cocker Spaniel 😮

Zoey had joined us in Puppy Class and continued forward into ‘beyond pups’

Mum has built considerable value in Zoeys ‘place’ and is now able to send Zoey in a positive, fun way to the ‘place’ from 10 paces away. 🤯

Just look at the result from a couple of minutes ‘play’ a day using daily food allowance. 🔥

Send away from 10 paces ✅

Lie down at a distance ✅

And as a little bonus Impulse Control ✅
To not ‘take’ the food (normal food allowance) before release. - without intimidation or a verbal cue to ‘leave’

This ‘game’ is part of the ‘Gold’ standard Kennel Club Good Citizen Award.

No ‘corrective’ training is used here at EV4 ❤️💚💙💜🧡

Evolving4paws classes are about building confidence in your puppies using positive reinforcement training and learning through good choices.

Developing all those important behaviours without correction.

Pups will learn to work with you around others.

All the games that we play build and strengthen your relationship in a fun positive way.

This course is for pups upto 6 months of age - although this can be discretionary.

Further training opportunities available after puppy classes, and I can offer Kennel Club Good Citizen awards.

*** SAFETY WARNING ***

Please be aware that we have received a report of a highly poisonous plant being washed up on Bembridge beach.

The plant is Hemlock Water Dropwort (Oenanthe crocata), also known as Dead Man’s Fingers. Even a small portion can prove fatal to humans by attacking the nervous system. It is also fatal to animals.

The plant has a highly poisonous root that looks and smells like Parsnip.

It is highly likely that this is washing ashore due to the recent stormy weather. We advise people, especially with children and animals, to stay vigilant. Please avoid this plant and take extra care when visiting the beach.

As always, please remember if you or someone else is in difficulty on the coast or at sea then please dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
