Another proud post... This time for the super handsome Jake who can be nervous reactive towards other dogs with no rhyme or reason as to what breed, size, or s*x that may trigger him, so it can be hard to socialise him when just out and about. The past few months I have been introducing him to a few select dogs, and look at him on our walk today ☺️ out with his own little pack and absolutely loving it 💙

Benefits of pack walks...

🐾 Prevent chaotic nose-to-nose greetings and allow dogs to socialize safely through parallel movement. This helps dogs coexist peacefully without the pressure of direct physical contact.

🐾 Nervous dogs learn that other dogs are not threats by walking alongside stable, calm pack members. It is often an excellent training step for dogs working through reactivity.

🐾 Walking in a line with the rest of the pack encourages your dog to match the group's pace, naturally reducing pulling and leash tension.

🐾 By walking in a group, dogs can channel pent-up energy into positive behavior, learn to ignore distractions, and build confidence by mimicking calm peers.

A standard Tuesday of Flora having a mud bath 🤣 Gus thinking he's a big boy that can take on a goat 🐐 Milo eating something he shouldn't (standard labrador 🤦🏽‍♀️) Ozzy attempting to chew through yet another lead 🙄 the list goes on... but I wouldn't have them any other way ❤️🐾

The amount of dogs I saw headed to the beach yesterday in that heat was absolutely disgusting! Some with ball throwers too 😭
The beach offers zero shade for your dog and even pop up tents that you think are offering shade become hotter and actually act more like a greenhouse.

It can take anywhere from just 15-60 minutes for a dog to develop life threatening heatstroke and with the chaos of Formby yesterday you would have no time to get your dog the help it needed in an emergency.

Are you prepared to watch your dog die like that infront if you, others and children?

Please leave your dogs at home!!! Ask someone to call in on them! A friend, a family member, or a professional (there are dozens in every area) there is no excuse to take them with you.

Alot are prepared to receive £35 parking fines to park in restricted areas so why not pay someone less than that to ensure your dog is safe!! 🐾💛

A proud post for my Tj 💙

As a puppy, Tj had a scare on the roads and for 6 years he has never walked around them other than the very short walk to the local dog park. When that closed and we couldn't take his usual route he initially refused the alternative so we opted for garden visits but kept trying and eventually he took the alternative 👏🏽 after seeing how brave he could be we upped it to trying a different way home and after a 20 minute battle of who could be more stubborn 😂 he caved. He didn't like it, but he nervously went with it and now every walk, we take this route and try to to extend it day by day to build his confidence and he's absolutely smashing it.
I do get some funny looks when I arrive to pick him up so I'm convinced he thinks I'm the devil who ruined his routine 🤣 but we always make up with couch cuddles 🐕🥰
