It's the end of an era with this little rascal.
I first start walking Wilbur around 2.5 years ago when he was just a little pupper, and this week was our official goodbye. He's a great wee dog,and I'm sure his next walker will enjoy his company as much as I did. Hopefully they can find areas to walk him where he doesnt find dead things to roll in,though đŸ˜‚ I'm gonna miss the little wind-up merchant.
Good luck to you pal,and thank you for the wine. LLauren CIark

While the van is in getting its MOT,I thought I'd take my own dogs for a walk around the shaded part of the loch.
It's nice and cool under these trees, only thing I'm missing is an ice cream.
I think Buddy is looking great after his latest trim, too.

While Buddy is in getting his grooming session, to take him from fluffy puppy,to handsome lad again. Nevis and I are taking a walk around some local woods. Thought it would be good to do some 1-1 training with him while we wait. Part of that training is,"sit still while I take this bloody picture"
I'd say he did quite well.

Look at these handsome lads. Who's your favourite?

It's been quite some time since I had this whole group together. Oreo (second from left) with her pups. I was very lucky to keep them standing long enough to get this picture, but I think it turned our quite well.

I came across this post on Forfar online this evening and it highlights the danger of walking dogs in hot conditions. I've shared the screenshots, with the person's permission, to make people aware of the risks.

When I have clients dogs out,it is a constant worry that I may over do it. I'm also worried,if I'm being honest, that they may think I'm being lazy, and simply want to get finished earlier. It becomes a balancing act of doing what I'm paid to do, for the time I'm supposed to,and also the welfare of the dogs.

I know every dog is different. Much depends on size, breed, age, weight, fitness levels, and let's face it,some dogs don't know when to stop. I keep to shaded areas as much as possible and I keep the excitement to a minimum, too. There's always a fresh supply of water in the van and i have water bowls posted around all my walks, which I top of fresh every day.

I offer my sincere condolences to the person that shared the story.

Let's all be a little more careful in this heat.

It looks like we have another hot day ahead of us. Great news for us Humans, not so great news for our Dogs. I'll be keeping walks shorter today, especially for the ones that don't manage the heat as well as others do.
