Absolutely ecstatic about another client win recently!

I’ve been working with the most handsome high-prey drive boy, who has a history of chasing, catching and consuming deer.

Our work has been focused on improving his recall and helping him find more socially acceptable ways to fulfil the job his genetics are shouting out for!

Recently, he went for a walk with his friend, a sighthound. When they both spotted deer up ahead, his friend took off in pursuit… but this clever boy recalled back to his lovely mum on the second call.

This is a HUGE win for his fabulous mum, and a brilliant example of why consistency, patience and those baby steps matter so much.

I’m always honest with my clients: there is no magic wand when it comes to dog training. What I can see is the potential in the dog in front of me and, with the right support and plenty of practice, help them and their human find a way forward.

And this is proof that the effort really does pay off. ❤️

✨ Important update ✨

I’m really happy to share that, alongside my veterinary nursing work, I’ll be studying to become a Clinical Animal Behaviourist over the next few years.

Animal behaviour is something I’ve always had a huge passion for so I’m excited to be taking the time to learn more and develop my understanding even further.

It’s going to be a lot to balance alongside work, but I’m really looking forward to the challenge and to seeing where it takes me. I’m hoping that the knowledge and experience I gain will complement my veterinary nursing and allow me to offer even more to the animals and clients I work with.

I may be slightly quieter on social media while I juggle studying, work and everything else, but I’ll still be here!

Thank you, as always, for your support and for trusting me with your lovely animals. It really does mean a lot. 🐾❤️

Absolutely beyond proud of Dexter and his mum today!

We’ve been working through lots of struggles recently, and today Dexter comfortably managed to make it down to the local common for some confidence building work in the fresh air.

His focus on his mum and his improvements with loose lead walking are really starting to show.

With the warmer weather, many dog owners are finding it difficult to continue their training routines.

It's simply too hot for long walks or outdoor training sessions, and that's completely understandable.

The good news is that training doesn't have to stop.
