Look at those little full stomachs! 🥹 The orange colour is from the newly hatched baby brine shrimp - baby axolotls will only eat tiny live foods at first, so brine shrimp is hatched daily for them. ☺️

A couple of hypo melanoids (these guys also have cranial glow). 🩶 Hypo melanoids can come in all sorts of shades, ranging from almost black to very pale (sometimes mistaken for a leucistic).

I am still here! Apologies for being absent over the summer but it is just me, myself and I trying to juggle everything, and the axolotls are my hobby (I’m not a business)… so with all five children at home for the summer it was difficult to keep on top of everything. Now that everyone is settled back in at school, I am back and I do still have a handful of hypo babies available. ☺️ I will do my best to catch up on some messages in the coming days.

Accidentally discovering that two of my standard copper axolotls are actually “hypos”, which gives them a cranial and toe glow when a UV torch is shone on them. 🤩 They are very new to the UK and very uncommon… although I’ve recently discovered that lots of the baby lotls I’m currently raising are also hypos! It is going to make future breeding projects rather exciting!

This little one changes by the day! Very pretty and very special! 🥰 Apologies for being a bit quiet, home and work life are chocker block at the moment, I’ve got lots of messages to catch up on and hope to do that over the weekend. Thanks for being so patient. ☺️
