☀️ HOT WEATHER & DOG SAFETY ☀️

As temperatures rise, keeping our dogs safe becomes the top priority 🐶💛

Please remember:
🐾 If the pavement is too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws
🐾 Shorter walks and shaded routes are always safer in hot weather
🐾 Early morning or later evening walks are best
🐾 Always make sure your dog has access to fresh water

🌡️ Check the temperature guide below to see what’s safe and what’s not for walks.

At Sits & Wiggles , your dog’s safety always comes first. During warmer days we:

✅ Move walk times to cooler parts of the day
✅ Carry fresh water on all walks
✅ Keep dogs cool with air conditioning and fans
✅ Use cooling mats and cooling collars where needed
✅ Monitor every dog closely for signs of overheating

Some days may mean shorter walks, garden visits, enrichment play, or adjusted schedules — because no walk is worth risking your dog’s health ❤️

Stay safe and keep those paws cool! 🐾☀️

📊 BIG UPDATE FROM THE OFFICE 📊

We’re proud to announce our new training programme is going… surprisingly well 👀

As you can see, the team are now fully trained in:

🐶 Advanced spreadsheet analysis
🐶 Filing important paperwork (mostly by sitting on it)
🐶 Shredding documents they “don’t agree with”
🐶 And… doing our taxes

We did try to help… but they said:
“Leave it to the professionals.”

Not sure HMRC will accept payments in tennis balls, but they seem confident 🐾

Productivity is up.
Paperwork is… questionable.

🐑 Lambing Season Reminder 🐕

We’ve already started spotting a few lambs out in the fields, which means lambing season is officially underway 🌱💛

It’s such a lovely time of year, but it’s also really important we’re all extra mindful when out walking our dogs. Even the most well-trained pups can get a bit excited around sheep, and it doesn’t take much to cause stress or harm.

📢 Just a quick reminder of UK law ,dogs must not worry livestock, and as owners we’re responsible for keeping them under control at all times.

👉 When you’re out and about:
• Please keep your dog on a lead around sheep
• Stick to public footpaths
• Stay alert ,lambs can be tucked away where you least expect
• If in doubt, pop the lead on 🐾

We all love our countryside walks, so let’s do our bit to keep it safe for everyone , including those tiny new arrivals 💚

Social learning in dogs 🐾

Dogs don’t just learn from us ,they also learn from watching each other. This is called social learning, and it can be a really powerful part of training.

Tucker has been learning that four pips of the whistle means “come back.” 📯 At first it was just Tucker responding to the recall cue, but something interesting started happening… the other dogs began watching him.

When Tucker hears the four pips and turns to run back, the other dogs see that behaviour and often follow. Over time they start to associate the whistle with the same action , returning to the handler.

This is a great example of how dogs in a group can help reinforce good behaviours. Confident dogs that understand cues can actually help teach the others what to do.

Training isn’t just about what we teach dogs directly ,sometimes the best lessons come from the dogs themselves. 🐶🐶

A Personal Message to Our Clients

We just want to start by saying a huge thank you to all of our amazing clients for trusting us with your dogs. Being part of their lives and watching them enjoy their walks and training means so much to us. 🐾

Over the past few years we’ve always tried our best to keep our prices as fair as possible. However, with the continued increase in the cost of living and rising costs of running the business, we have reached a point where we need to make a small adjustment to ensure we can continue doing what we love and providing the level of care your dogs deserve.

From 5th April 2026 our prices will change to:

• Group Walks– £14.50 → £17.50
• Solo Walks– £16.50 → £22.00
• Dog Training– £45.00 → £60.00

To thank our loyal customers who book their dogs in 5 days per week, we will also offer a discounted rate:

• 5-Day Group Walk Dogs– £16.00 per walk
• 5-Day Solo Walk Dogs– £20.00 per walk

Anyone who knows us knows how dedicated we are to the dogs in our care. We treat every dog as if they were our own and give them the time, attention and patience they deserve. We hope the new prices reflect the level of attentive care and commitment we put into every walk and training session.

This decision wasn’t easy for us, but it’s something we feel we must do to ensure the business can continue running and caring for your dogs for years to come.

Thank you again for your understanding, support and for allowing us to spend time with such amazing dogs every day. It truly means the world to us. ❤️🐶

If you have any questions, please feel free to message us anytime.

Mymble had her Lightning McQueen moment on today’s walk ⚡🐕

One minute she was calmly sniffing… the next minute she hit the turbo and the zoomies activated! 💨 Around the field she went like a furry race car.

Pretty sure I heard her shout “KACHOW!” just before the final lap 🏁😂

Safe to say Mymble won today’s Grand Prix of Zoomies!

There’s nothing better than teaming up with a fellow dog walker and good friend for a group adventure 🐾💛

When we walk together, we’re constantly reading body language – loose tails, soft eyes, relaxed movement and making sure every dog feels comfortable in the group. We allow plenty of sniff breaks (because sniffing = enrichment!) and adjust positioning if anyone needs more space.

We check in with each other, stay calm, and work as a team to keep the vibe relaxed, safe, and fun.

Happy, comfortable dogs having the best time that’s always the goal 🐶✨
