It has been a sad week to say goodbye to another regular of ours Millie. She has been a regular for so many years the morning walks will never feel the same.

Stopping her from eating too much sticky w**d, trying to catch and eat spicy sky raisins (bubble bees to everyone else) and seeing her flirt with the younger boys knowing she gets bored of them by next week.

Millie may you meet up with all your friends that have passed on while you leave a paw print on everyone's heart who met you.

It’s taken me a little while to find the right words to write this.

Late June this year, we very sadly and unexpectedly lost one of our much-loved regulars, Lui. Having walked him twice a week for several years, he had become such a familiar and important part of our 4 Paws Walks family.

Lui was one of those dogs who always brought a smile with him. Whether he was happily trotting along with the group in his blue Aquafleece, getting up to something that made us laugh, or giving us one of those moments where all we could say was, “Oh no, Lui… what have you done?”, there was never a dull walk when he was around.

He had his own place within the group, his own little character, and a way of making even an ordinary walk feel that bit more memorable. Over the years we shared so many walks, laughs and moments with him that it feels very strange knowing he won’t be joining us again.

Sometimes it’s the little things you miss the most, seeing him slowly wake up and he walked down the stairs, spotting that familiar blue coat making it'sway through the long grass, and simply having him there amongst the others.

Lui made a much bigger impact on us than he could ever have known, and we feel incredibly lucky to have been trusted with him and to have shared so many happy adventures together.

He will be very much missed by all of us at 4 Paws Walks, and he certainly won’t be forgotten.

Sleep peacefully, Lui. 💙🐾

It breaks me to share this news but after 14 and a half years we had to say good bye for the last time my best friend Gracie💔 last Friday, 4th September 2026.

I write this with a broken heart and tears in my eyes but 14 years of amazing memories of her life of sassy behaviour, judgmental looks, funny moments, adventures, in the early days chasing her around fields 🥲 and being the best work partner any dog walker could ask for.

She passed without being in pain, zero major health problems for a pretty active lady, still coming to work pretty frequently since retiring from being a full time sidekick around a year ago.

Stevie and I planned to take her to Hunstanton, which is where I am writing this from, as her last adventure away from home. We decided to still go although she was not able to join us, and are visiting some of her favourite places with Betty and Lily, sharing quiet moments and teary eyes.

As she's been with me since I was 24(!), most of you will know her in some way. Feel free to share any memories or feelings, although I may not be up for in person/over the phone conversations just yet.

Gracie you have left so many paw prints on so many hearts you may be gone but definitely not forgotten ❤️

☀️ Hot Weather Service Update 🐾

Unfortunately, the hot weather is once again meaning we need to adjust our services this week.

To keep the dogs as safe and comfortable as possible, our first walk pick-ups will begin from 6:15am, allowing us to get out while temperatures are cooler.

Where the weather conditions allow, we will also aim to complete a second walk later in the morning. At the moment, Monday and Tuesday are looking suitable for a second walk, but we'll continue to monitor the forecast and conditions each day.

Active Daycare will be cancelled for the time being. Where possible, if we're able to safely complete two walks, these will be offered as a replacement for the Daycare service.

As always, the safety and wellbeing of the dogs comes first. If temperatures rise faster than expected or conditions become unsuitable, we'll make further adjustments, including replacing walks with visits where appropriate.

Thank you to all our customers for your continued patience and understanding while we work around the weather. ❤️
