Just a little reminder …
NEUTERING SCHEME.
A lot of our followers will be aware that we offer a neutering scheme for families that are in genuine need of help.
However, Once again we feel we need to re share our very clear guidance with regards to this.
We are a very small, Fully self funded branch of the RSPCA with a small team of volunteers.
We spend lots of our time fundraising all of the funds ourselves and sadly we do not get any assistance from anywhere else.
Our main priority is of course the care of sick and injured animals in our local area.
The neutering scheme is our second priority as we feel it is very important and we are doing our best to help those in need.
Given this information you will understand us when we say:
All funds used must be used appropriately or the scheme will cease to run.
So here it is… The guidance ..
This scheme is for cats only 🐈🐈⬛
And it is solely for cats in households in genuine need within our branch area which is :
Fleetwood, Thornton-Cleveleys, Poulton, Lytham, St Anne’s and Ansdell.
We will request proof of address and this is not negotiable.
Recently we have had other charities directing large numbers of people to us and of which a staggering 80% of these referrals last month alone have not met this criteria at all.
We have spent numerous hours dealing with this influx of requests and quite frequently we have received abuse from the disgruntled members of public applying when not eligible.
This is numerous hours we could have spent looking after the animals in our care.
Therefore, We would kindly request that you check the above guidance before signposting them to us.
Each RSPCA Branch covers a different area so please do your research to find the branch covering the area you need.
