🐾 MEET THE SOCIALISATION TEAM — MILO & ZAK 🐾

These two handsome boys aren’t just our own dogs, they’re part of mine and my partner’s working gundog squad, and they’re also the dogs I use for my socialisation walks. 💚

Milo & Zak are calm, confident and completely non-reactive around other dogs, making them ideal companions for dogs who may struggle socially, lack confidence or need to learn how to calmly exist around other dogs.

Both boys are whistle trained, giving me a high level of control throughout the walk and allowing everything to remain calm, structured and appropriate.

Socialisation doesn’t have to mean throwing dogs together to play. Sometimes it’s simply learning to walk alongside another dog, share the same space and be comfortable in their presence.

If your dog could benefit from calm, controlled socialisation with carefully selected dogs, Milo & Zak are my go-to guys. 🐶🐶

I offer 1-to-1 solo walks, giving your dog my full attention and a walk tailored entirely to them. Whether they’re nervous, reactive, older, younger, or simply prefer their own company. 🐶💚

It’s been a little quiet on here lately! 🐾💚

For one reason or another, I haven’t managed to post much over the past few weeks, but Summer’s Steps has still been as busy as ever behind the scenes! 🐶🐴

So here’s a little photo dump from the past month — lots of walks, happy faces, adventures and plenty of fun along the way. 🥰

As always, I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who continues to trust me with their four-legged family members. 💚

Sometimes life gets busy and social media takes a back seat… but the dogs certainly don’t! 😂🐾

New adventure unlocked! 🐾🌿

Today we swapped our usual trip to Farleigh Forest for our very first visit to Arborfield Acres by Hounds & Bounds... and what a hit it was! 🐶

One of the best things is there's no dog limit, which meant I could take all four of my own spaniels along too. They absolutely loved being part of the fun, and I think the highlight for everyone had to be the giant doggy sandpit! 🏖️🐾

Safe to say it was a huge success, and I think we'll definitely be making plenty more visits in the future! 💚

A big welcome to Ovo! 🐾

Today was Ovo's very first walk with me, and he was an absolute superstar from start to finish. Calm, polite and a pleasure to have along. Looking forward to many more adventures together! 💚

A nice mix of both today... 🐴🐶

Horses to start and finish the day, a couple of pop-ins in between, and then it was time to drop Arlo off at his grandparents to continue his holiday while his parents are away. ❤️

Every day looks a little different in this job, and that's exactly why I love it!

Now I'm looking forward to a slightly slower day tomorrow with a trip to the Game Fair. Have a lovely weekend everyone! ☀️

Another wonderful house sit completed! 🐾🏡

I've just spent two lovely nights looking after the gorgeous Mabel and Stanley, and it's been an absolute pleasure. They were fantastic company, and I loved making sure they were happy, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners were away.

My house sitting service gives your pets the comfort of staying in their own home, keeping their usual routine and reducing the stress that can come with being in unfamiliar surroundings. As well as providing plenty of love, attention, walks, feeding, and cuddles, I also keep your home lived-in and secure until you return.

Back to training with Maisie today after a couple of weeks off due to holidays and the hot weather! 🐾

She started off a little distracted, so we focused on loose lead heelwork using changes of speed and direction to regain her engagement. We then moved onto long line recall before heading into the woods, where we continued heelwork and practised sit stays in a highly distracting environment.

A thoroughly productive session that challenged us both. Great work, Maisie! 👏🐶
