Thinking about bringing a new pet into your home? Or worried about how your existing dog will cope with a big change? ❤️

At Marley and Me 121 Dog Training & Behaviour, I’m now offering a bespoke Integration Service to help you introduce animals and new family members safely, calmly and successfully.

This can include:

🐶 Bringing a second dog into your home
🐱 Introducing a cat and dog
🐹 Introducing smaller pets such as gerbils or other household animals
👶 Preparing your dog for the arrival of a new baby
🏡 Helping existing pets adjust to a new family member or change at home
🐾 Supporting dogs who may be nervous, worried, over-excited or reactive around the new arrival

Every household is different, so your session will be tailored specifically to your pets, your home and your circumstances.

Just like us humans, our dogs can get irritated, uncomfortable, and stressed in the heat. 🐶💛
When temperatures rise, they need extra patience, rest, and a cool space where they can relax peacefully.

Give your furry friends:
❄️ A cool, shaded place to chill
💧 Plenty of fresh water
🛏️ Quiet time without too much fuss or handling
🚶‍♂️ Walks during cooler mornings or evenings

Sometimes the best thing we can do is simply let them rest comfortably without being hassled. A hot and bothered dog may become more reactive, tired, or easily irritated and that’s completely normal.

Reactivity can feel overwhelming but your dog isn’t being ‘bad’ or trying to embarrass you on walks 💛

Most reactive behaviours come from emotions like: 🐾 Fear 🐾 Frustration 🐾 Overexcitement 🐾 Anxiety 🐾 Lack of confidence

Barking, lunging, pulling, or reacting to other dogs/people is often your dog’s way of saying: “I don’t know how to cope with this situation.”

One of the biggest misconceptions about reactive dogs is that they just need ‘more discipline’ when in reality, they usually need better support, clearer communication, and training that helps them feel safe and understood.
