💜Dotty💜

Here’s Dotty post surgery 🐾 I was lucky enough to get a photo of her, as she was very keen to be back up on her feet showing me her best tail-wagging skills! 🥰

Dotty came to us for her laparoscopic spay, also known as keyhole surgery.

🔍 What are the benefits of keyhole surgery?

Laparoscopic surgery is a minimally invasive technique and can offer several advantages, including:

✨ Smaller incisions
✨ May mean reduced post-operative pain
✨ Faster recovery
✨ We see fewer complications

We’re pleased to see Dotty doing so well and showing off that gorgeous waggy tail! 💕🐶

Well done, Dotty! 🐾💜

📢 Branch closure tomorrow (Saturday 19th September)

We’re sorry to let you know that, due to staff shortages, Medivet Faversham will be closed tomorrow (Saturday).

Our lovely Branch Partner, Sam, is already working three weekends this month, so we feel he deserves a much earned weekend off too! ❤️

Our phones will be diverted to Medivet Minster until 12pm, and then to Vets Now from 12pm until Monday morning, so there will still be veterinary support available should you need it.

Please note that there will be no one on site at Faversham tomorrow, so unfortunately we won’t be able to offer medication collections until we reopen on Monday.

We’re really sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. We try to avoid closing our doors wherever possible, but we also believe that making sure our team has time to rest, recharge and have a proper break is incredibly important. 🐾❤️

Thank you, as always, for your understanding and continued support. We’ll be back open as usual on Monday!

UPDATE - reunited with owners 💕

🐾 FOUND DOG – PLEASE HELP US REUNITE HIM WITH HIS FAMILY 🐾

We have had a friendly black Cockapoo, believed to be called Zippy, brought into the practice this afternoon after he was found wandering the streets alone and running across roads.

Zippy is microchipped, but unfortunately his contact details are not up to date, so we’re struggling to get in touch with his owners.

If you think Zippy is your dog, or you know who his family might be, please get in touch with us as soon as possible so we can reunite him with his pet parents. ❤️

📞 Our phones switch over to the emergency vets at 3:00pm, but the practice remains open until 4:00pm. If you’re unable to call us between 3:00pm and 4:00pm, please pop into the practice instead.

📧 Alternatively, you can email us at [email protected].

Please share this post to help us get Zippy home safely. 🐶

Just a reminder that it is too hot ☀️ to be walking 🐾 your dogs, the floor can burn their feet and the walk can cause heat stroke 🥵 .
The safest time of day to walk your dogs is early, before 8am so set those alarms ⏰
Or last thing, after 8pm, so enjoy a quiet evening stroll instead and enjoy the longer evenings.
Otherwise a few days without a walk will not hurt your dog, but the walk itself could kill them.
Be careful, keep our four legged friends safe this time of year 🐕.
