This strategy should seek to expand affordable neutering, support overwhelmed rescue centres, strengthen responsible pet ownership education, and review measures to reduce irresponsible breeding and cat abandonment.

I have a wonderful work experience student with me this week helping out in the cattery. Today I asked if she could produce a poster on how to keep cats cool in hot weather. Please see below her results 😻

I am helping a local cat rescue by looking after Tigger. At 13 years young, this beautiful Bengal gentleman is ready to trade adventure for afternoon sunbeams and a cozy cushion to call his own.

He’s a stunning Bengal with the classic elegance and intelligence the breed is known for — but these days, his greatest joys are the simple ones: a warm blanket and the comfort of a quiet companion nearby.

This sweet boy is FIV positive, which simply means his immune system needs a little extra care. Many FIV cats live long, happy, comfortable lives — especially in a calm, indoor-only home where they can truly relax and thrive. He’s done the busy part of life. Now he’s ready for the peaceful chapter.

What he’s looking for:
- A quiet, loving retirement home
- Indoor-only living with access to a catio or preferably a cat proof garden
- Ideally as the only cat, or with other calm FIV-friendly companions with proper introduction
- Someone who understands that senior pets deserve the softest landings

What he gives in return:
- Gentle companionship
- Soft purrs and slow blinks
- Loyal friendship
- Long and in-depth conversations

There is something incredibly special about giving a senior cat his forever home. You’re not just offering a home — you’re offering dignity, comfort, and love in his golden years.

If you have a peaceful home and a warm heart, he may be the perfect match. He doesn’t need much — just safety, kindness, and someone to cherish him.

Let’s give this handsome boy the retirement he deserves.

Please message me if you are interested or have any questions.

I WOULD BE GRATEFUL IF YOU CAN SHARE THIS FAR AND WIDE IN THE HOPE OF FINDING TIGGER A LOVING RETIREMENT HOME.
