Marion: A Tapestry of Memories

In reverent hush, we gather near,
For Marion, our light, now drawn so clear.
Her sharp wit danced like whispers in the air,
A playful breeze that brushed against our care.

In beautiful dress, she graced the space,
Each fabric folded mirrored her embrace.
With colors bright as laughter at dawn's first beam,
She wove through life an intricate dream.

Her family now stands in silent prayer,
With tears like rain that fall - heavy and rare.
The echoes of joy trail soft through the room,
Yet shadows linger, as sorrow finds bloom.

In North Camp’s heart where her spirit takes flight,
A church built on faith stands steady and bright.
Amongst sacred hymns and whispered pleas for peace,
We find her journey—a path to sweet release.

Carm nature blessed her with love profound,
Each moment shared with laughter resound.
Yet loss wraps gently like a shroud of night,
A silent cloak that dims the brightest light.

To speak of Marion is to paint in hues—
Of sunshine splendor and skies washed in blues.
Her story travels on rainbows stretched wide,
Carrying whispers of hope from deep inside.

Through pain may come strength when hearts are laid bare,
For faith is a bridge that answers our prayer.
In silence we gather to honor her grace,
Each tear tells a tale—of love’s warm embrace.

As we navigate this winding old road,
Her memory lingers; evergreen code.
Strength in our hearts where sadness unfolds—
In the tapestry woven with threads of gold.

Though gone from our sight—she’s never apart;
In each tender moment—forever she’ll start.
Marion flows like a river divine:
Embedded in love—her spirit will shine.

North Camp church is dimmed with grey,
Our Marion's gone away.
A gentle soul, a heart so kind,
A loving spirit left behind.

She dressed so bright, a joyful gleam,
Enthusiastic for her dream,
To share God's love, a shining light,
Inspiring us with all her might.

A story whispered, to make us whole.
We'll miss her smile, her gentle grace,
And cherish Marion's loving space.

This poem is about the last survivor of the holocaust , hope you enjoy comments below welcome.

She Stands Alone

She stands in the thin light of morning, the final witness to a world that once burned in a silence so loud it split the sky.
Every breath she takes feels borrowedfrom a million who never inhaled again, and she carries themas if their names were sewn into her skin.
She remembers the cold first—how it crept into bones and stayed, how it turned children into shadowsbefore anyone could say goodbye.
She remembers the trains—not their shape, but the way the doors closedas if the world was shutting its eyes.
She remembers the smell of smokethat did not belong to firewood, and the way hope felt like a tiny emberheld between shaking hands.
She remembers the women beside her, their faces hollowed yet fierce, eyes refusing to give the guardsthe satisfaction of seeing them break.
She remembers the oneswho braided each other’s haireven in the camps, because dignity was a rebellionno empire could extinguish.
Now she is the last, the echo of a generation stolen, the fragile spine of memoryholding its shape against time’s erosion.
She speaks not for attentionbut for justice—for the young who must learn, and the old who cannot forget.
In her voicesurvival is not triumphbut obligation,a vow carved into her heartbeat:to tell the truthuntil truth no longer needs telling.
She stands alone, but behind her rises the quiet, unbroken chorusof women who did not live to speak.
And in that chorusthere is pain, there is devastation, and still—still—a small, stubborn pulse of hopethat refuses to dieeven when everything else has
