Meet the lovely Leo 💜

Leo holds a very special place in our hearts as our very first ever in-clinic patient when we opened the clinic back in May 2025!

Fast forward a whole year, and he’s back with us for his first booster and annual health check… how time flies! It’s been so lovely watching Leo grow and being part of his journey from the very beginning.

Thank you to Leo’s family for trusting us with his care; we can’t wait to see him for many more visits to come!

Cats are more prone to weight gain after neutering, as hormonal changes can slow metabolism and increase appetite.

The good news is this is usually very manageable with the right diet, portion control, and plenty of play and activity.

Neutering is still one of the best things you can do for your cat’s long-term health, and we’re always happy to help with advice on food, weight management, and post-neutering care 💜

If you’d like to discuss neutering or get your cat booked in, please get in touch.

Don't forget about our April to May offer!

We’re offering a FREE microchip when you neuter your cat with us - saving you £19.

Meet Felix, a gorgeous 15-year-old tuxedo boy 🐾🧡

Felix came to us for a second opinion after weight loss, vomiting, diarrhoea and an increased appetite. Further investigations revealed inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), alongside mild heart disease.

💜 You may spot the colourful “disco” lights during his scan - we often use these gentle lights to help conscious cats feel calmer and more relaxed during procedures, reducing stress and sometimes avoiding the need for heavy sedation.

Felix has now started treatment including diet changes, probiotics, B12 support and medication, and we’re pleased to say he’s already showing encouraging improvements at home.

We’re very proud of him, and so grateful to his dedicated owners for everything they’re doing to support him 💜

Spaying and neutering your cat doesn’t just help your own pet, it helps cats everywhere🐾

Cats can reach sexual maturity, and females can become pregnant, from as young as 4 months old, so early neutering helps prevent unexpected litters and reduces the number of cats ending up in shelters or struggling as strays.

There are important health and behaviour benefits too:
• Reduced risk of certain cancers and infections
• Less roaming, fighting, and spraying
• Prevents the stress of repeated pregnancies

Neutering is a simple, safe procedure and one of the best things you can do for your cat’s long-term wellbeing 🧡

We also accept Cats Protection Neutering Vouchers. For more information click here: https://www.cats.org.uk/what-we-do/neutering/financial-assistance

Let’s do what’s best for our cats, and for the wider feline community.

Warmer weather means flea season is back!

If your cat is itchy, over-grooming, losing fur, or has scabs around their back end, fleas could be the cause; even if you can’t see them. Some cats are also allergic to flea bites, making reactions much more severe.

Not all itching is fleas, though. Allergies to things like pollen, dust, or food can cause similar signs and may need different treatment.

Prevention is always better than cure, so keeping up with regular flea treatment is really important, even for some indoor cats.

If your cat’s skin or coat has changed, we’re always happy to help.

Microchipping your cat is one of the simplest ways to help them get home if they ever go missing.

Even indoor cats can escape unexpectedly, and without a chip it can be very difficult to trace them back to you. A microchip is quick to place, lasts for life, and is now a legal requirement for cats in the UK.

Don’t forget, your microchip only works if your contact details are up to date!

If you’re unsure whether your cat is chipped, or need help getting them microchipped or updating details, we’re always happy to help.

🐾 Don’t forget our April offer FREE microchip with every cat neutering, saving you £19. Get in touch if you’d like advice or to book in.
