Creating clarity 🔥

Dog training isn't a black art 🃏🎱 or even luck.

And helping your dog understand the behaviours you want from them, doesn't need to be forced through "pressure" 🔥 or punishment.

Using your words to create meaning ✨️ will build & develop behaviours.

Think 🤔 about what you are saying to your dog.

What does it mean to your dog?
Does their understanding match your understanding?
Are you consistent with your training, or do you chop & change what you do and what you mean?

In this video I am working on Olive's toy release, she understands:

✨️ Drop = drop the toy
✨️ Get it = pick up the toy
✨️ Throw it = I'm going to throw the toy
✨️ Go = chase the toy
✨️ Yep = toy switch

I know it seems like a lot. But it becomes part of your daily conversation with your dog.

Talk to them with meaning & prevent frustration! It builds relationship 💓 and you can have more fun together.

CHRISTMAS REMINDER 🎄

Because I just don't think I can say this enough 🤔 ... puppies are super cute 😍 big ears, little puppy paws, adorable little faces! They can seem like the PERFECT Christmas present!

☠️ Don't buy a puppy as a present ☠️

So many dogs are given up because the dogs have "behavioural issues" (i.e. are untrained), health issues because they are badly bred, owners not understanding the true impact on their lives of taking on a dog who lives 10+ years 🤔, or suddenly developing an "allergy" 😭

Dogs grow up.
They bark.
They snap.
The guard.
They p**p (a lot).
They shed.
They jump.
They get dirty.
They dig.
They chase.

A day for training my own dogs 🐕

Because even dog trainers need to train THEIR OWN dogs 😎 if nothing else, it's fun! My favourite past time 💥

Frank today working on ...

🙌 Toy swapping (two balls)
🤩 Engagement around distraction (other dogs)
💃 Brain games (scent work)
✨️ Generally being an all round GOOD BOY

Watching this video you would never know ...

🔥 Frank is hugely possessive. He LOVES toys (especially balls) and doesn't believe they are for sharing
👌 He is a little randy boy who likes to sniff and widdle
🫠 He has already been training for 40 mins prior to this. Pocket rocket!

✅️ Train your dog & enjoy the journey. Nothing ever happens overnight with dogs 💯

Thinking about getting a dog? 🙌

Here are 5 things they’ll do that will have you questioning if a dog is REALLY for you 🤔 and *bonus* they definitely will not always help your mental health ☁️

PLEASE, DON'T ❌️ get a dog thinking it'll solve your problems. Because there's a 99.999% chance your dog is going to cause you stress at some point. They are dogs after all!

5 things your dog WILL do that you WON'T like 👇

✨️ Eat 💩, could be their own, could be someone's else's!!

✨️ Roll in 💩 🙄 bath time!!!

✨️ Bark 💥 they are dogs. Dogs bark.

✨️ Run off. Yep they will most likely chase something at some point 😭 train recall as a priority!!

✨️ Chew things in the house. Yes you can crate train etc., but at some point you'll leave them for 2 mins and they will raid the bin.

My advice? Be prepared for 💩 it happening! And don't get stressed when it does. Learn how & Why it happened (whatever behaviour it was) 🤩 and move on, and train your dog 🐕 and ENJOY the journey!

3 weeks ago, Harry became really ill and needed an emergency overnight vet visit 😭

But now—3 weeks later—he’s bounced back stronger than ever! The resilience of dogs 🐕 truly amazes me 🤩

They never complain.
They never give up.
They never stop loving you. 💛

Having a dog means understanding what they actually need—not just what we think they need.
Meeting their mental and physical needs through real enrichment, movement, rest, structure, and connection with YOU 💥 builds their confidence, strengthens their resilience, and deepens their trust in us.

Harry is living proof of that. My special little boy 🐾✨
