Oscar ✨

I had my first meeting with this handsome lad this week. Oscar is a LOT of dog - he has a ton of energy and gets overstimulated and overwhelmed easily. It’s a lot for his people to deal with, and it’s not serving him so well either.

We are working on a new routine for calming - lots of enrichment, nap times, and a ton of sniffing and chewing. On walks, Oscar is going to be learning to keep his nose down, , engaging with his canine instincts and exploring the environment, rather than jumping up and grabbing his people, or fixating on other doggies. He also needs some help with his social skills, which we are going to be working on with the help of some doggy friends 🐶

Oscar is a lovely young dog, and he just neees some help to channel some of that fizziness into behaviours that don’t get him into mischief!

Well, maybe just a little bit of mischief…. 🐾

How would you feel if you lived with someone, and they wanted to change everything about you?

Would you feel loved and valued?

Would you be able to relax and let your guard down?

Would you have healthy self esteem?

All dogs have personality quirks, and sometimes, learning to love the weird and wonderful things about them is easier said than done.

Let me know if you need help ❤️

These two are becoming the very best of friends. They regularly share a bed, so cute 🥰

But it wasn’t always like this! Sia used to be scared of Finn, and she wasn’t comfortable being close to him at all. She also had a wild prey drive, and used to chase her orange brother when she got the chance.

Cats and dogs aren’t always natural bedfellows, but there are lots of things you can do to help them become pals. Reach out today if you’d like advice on this ❤️🐾

You can have all the knowledge in the world - all the qualifications, all the accolades and awards.

But if you don’t have love in your heart for animals, I don’t believe you have any business making them your business.

“Our session with Hayley helped us realise that understanding our dog’s behaviour and working on her training can be (and should be) fun! This has completely changed our approach to walks and indoor enrichment activities.”
