🦀🌊 MARINE SPOTLIGHT: SALLY LIGHTFOOT CRABS! 🧡

Looking for a crab with plenty of character? Meet the Sally Lightfoot crab! These speedy little climbers are known for their striking colouring and agility around the rocks. 👀🦀

🪸 What do they do?
They’re active scavengers, constantly exploring rockwork and picking at algae and food particles.

🍽️ What do they eat?
They’re omnivores, enjoying algae, seaweed and meaty foods such as chopped prawns or suitable marine frozen foods.

🏡 Tank setup:
They need a mature marine aquarium with plenty of rockwork, hiding places and room to roam. A secure lid is a good idea, as they’re excellent climbers!

These crabs are fascinating to watch as they dart across the rocks. 🧡🦀

🌿🐠 PLANTS THAT DON’T NEED CO₂! 🌱

Want to add some greenery to your tropical aquarium without investing in a CO₂ system? Good news — there are plenty of beautiful aquatic plants that can thrive without one! 💚

Some great options include:

🍃 Anubias – hardy plants with thick, dark green leaves.
🌱 Java Fern – easy to care for and perfect for attaching to wood or rocks.
🌿 Java Moss – great for adding texture and creating hiding places for shrimp and small fish.
🍃 Cryptocoryne – lovely leafy plants that come in different shapes and colours.
🌱 Amazon Sword – a great choice if you want a bigger, leafy centrepiece.

💡 Top tip: These plants don’t require added CO₂, but they still benefit from suitable lighting, nutrients and good water conditions. Some grow slowly, so don’t worry if they take a little time to settle in!

Live plants help create a more natural environment, provide shelter for fish and add beautiful colour to your aquarium. 🌿🐟
