Ah, I thought I was doing too well with the posts, this one was in drafts and should have gone on first today ! So...
..A few more posts today 😀

Another thank you to everyone who recommends The Kitz, by word of mouth or on social media ! It is always appreciated 💗and all the lovely gifts that I receive are always unexpected and appreciated ! especially the sweet ones 😋

So, now I'm going to do a personal recommendation too 🤩

Katharine, brings her cat Mickey, to stay at the Kitz and we were chatting and she mentioned she has recently qualified as a nutritional therapist.

As my Mum, Caroline, had been having some health issues, she contacted Katherine for some help & advice. Katherine, was very supportive and gave excellent advice and as a result changed Mum's life, who doing very well now !

Please take a look at Katherine's socials, she has lots of interesting tips & recipes, which are beneficial to all.

The last thank you for this weekend of posts has to go to Simon 🤩

He looks after me, so I can look after the cats, oh and he does a bit of gardening too 😆

Many of you comment on the flowers & plants in the garden and it is appreciated and gives encouragement, it does all take a lot of work and effort throughout the year 🌿

On that note, one last bit of housekeeping, we are having a holiday ourselves next year 😎 the cattery will be closed from 10th to 20th March 2027 and for a week in later in the year, dates tbc

The biggest thank you goes to The Kitz customers, who let me share their cats 😻 they are all part of The Kitz family and I enjoy looking after them very much. It is a big responsibility and I feel very fortunate to be caring for them.

A bit more admin house keeping, for the last few years we have not increased the price of the cats stay.

However, due to external costs rising, from January 1st 2027 we are having to have an unavoidable price increase.

The increase will be £17.00 per day for one cat & to £27 for a pair of cats, for 3 or more cats, cost on enquiry. Please note, this includes arrival & collection days too.

The recent hot weather has been challenging, but we've been doing our best to keep the cats cool!

My mum, Caroline, has been busy making some new cooler cat bedding, which the cats have appreciated over the last month. Thank you, Mum! 💗

The lovely Tosha, is pictured on one of the blankets 😻 think he likes them 😹

Dorothy has been busy too, making sure the individual fans are ready too !

Thank you to Simon, for keeping the freezer stocked with ice-cream, to keep me cool too 🍦

As we are over half way through the year it seems like a good opportunity to do a bit of admin housekeeping 🤓 firstly bookings 📅

📩 We are now using a new & different booking system, in time when you make a booking you will receive a conformation email, with the dates & cost of the cat/s stay. If any of the information is incorrect please let me know asap, but if all the information is correct, then there is no response needed 🙂

If you are wanting to make a booking please email, phone, write a note or WhatsApp the details, so there is a record of the request and we can check the dates and confirm.

If you change address or vets, please let us know so we can update records. Also if circumstances change with your cat, do update us 😽

Also, if your plans change and you need to change or cancel the booking, please do so asap, I can usually fill the spaces with notice.

‼️Christmas 2026‼️ sorry had to mention it now, but we are now fully booked, I will take details for the waiting list.

The diary is also open for 2027 ! 🙀 thank you to those for the advanced bookings, BUT we are having to have a price increase ! more on that to follow

Firstly, thank you to Jan & Phil, our helpful & friendly electricians, who have put in extra lighting, to the cattery, ready for the darker evenings 💡

However, Dorothy thinks that they have lit her catwalk ! 🤣
