‼️ CLIENT NOTICE – WOODFORD ‼️

We would like to inform our clients that our Woodford surgery will be temporarily closed from Monday 8th June until the end of the month while we undergo a series of changes.

As always, we remain committed to providing the highest standard of care for your pets. During this temporary closure, all Woodford clients are welcome to visit either our Epping Hospital or Harlow Surgery for appointments and veterinary care.

If you have an existing appointment scheduled at Woodford, a member of our team will be in touch to discuss alternative arrangements. Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact either our Epping or Harlow teams.

‼️ FOUND CAT‼️

On Friday evening we had a deceased female cat handed into the practice by a member of the public after what we expect to be a road traffic accident along Shaftesbury Road, Epping.

She was a large black female, with no distinctive markings. Not microchipped & not wearing a collar, but looked very well in herself otherwise.

😍 Warning: Cuteness Overload 🐱

Everybody meet Nellie — an absolutely adorable kitten who recently visited us after joining her fur-ever family for her Kitten Check ❤️

After spending a little time in our cat-only waiting area, Nellie explored the consult room while Dr Sophie chatted with her owners about all things kitten-related and carried out a full health check to make sure everything was perfect.

Bringing your pets in for regular vet checks not only helps us spot any problems early, but also helps build a positive relationship with your vet and practice. These visits can be especially beneficial for socialisation during those important first few months — and of course, we love getting to know your furry friends too 😻

🐾 Meet Our Patient 💙

Everyone, meet the beautiful boy known as Benji, who underwent an emergency life-saving procedure with us.

Benji’s paw-rents brought him to our Harlow surgery after noticing he had a painful, taut abdomen and was trying to vomit unsuccessfully. After taking X-rays to investigate further, we confirmed that Benji was suffering from GDV (Gastric Dilatation-Volvulus) — a serious condition where the stomach twists, trapping its contents and cutting off blood supply. Without urgent treatment, this condition can quickly become fatal.

Benji was rushed straight to our Epping hospital, where our team performed emergency surgery to untwist his stomach and save his life.

We were delighted to see Benji again recently for his annual vaccinations, and we’re pleased to say he has made a full recovery! 💙

This case is a wonderful reminder of the amazing things that can be achieved when the whole team works together 🐾
