Looks like the warmer weather is finally on its way ☀️🐾

Which means it’s officially the season of!:
💦 water bowls everywhere
🌿 tick checks after walks
🦟 staying on top of flea & tick prevention
😴 super tired dogs after 10 minutes in the sun
🛁 muddy baths after “quick” paddles that definitely got out of hand

A little extra care goes a long way during the warmer months... especially when it comes to hydration, cooling down and keeping seasonal pests under control 💛:)
Remember to take extra care when deciding if to walk or not. Some dogs struggle with heat more than others too, especially flat-faced breeds, older dogs, puppies and heavy-coated dogs. Stay safe and enjoy the sun!

The word “natural” gets used a lot, and can mean a lot of different things in the pet world 👀🌿🐾

But for us? It means working with nature ~ using ingredients that have a long history of traditional use and understanding how they may help support the body, just as they always have.
Things like herbs, botanical extracts and essential oils can all have naturally occurring properties that may help support wellbeing when used carefully and correctly 💛

This weekend, people across the UK are taking part in the Paddle-Out Protest to call for cleaner, safer water. 🌊🐾

And yes — this matters to dog owners too.

Our dogs don’t just walk near water. They swim in it, paddle through it, roll beside it, drink from puddles and carry the outside world back home on their paws.

Recent evidence has raised concerns about commonly used pet flea treatment chemicals being detected in UK rivers at levels that may damage aquatic life.

That should make us all pause.

This is not about blaming responsible pet owners. Most people use routine flea treatments because they believe they are doing the right thing. But maybe it is time to ask whether every dog needs the same monthly chemical approach, all year round, regardless of their lifestyle.

Does your dog LOVE sniffing through long grass and exploring absolutely everything on walks? 👀🌾🐶

Ours do, but with all that lovely fluffy fur and those floppy ears, they can from time to time pick up grass seeds this time of year 😅 Grass seeds might look harmless, but they can easily get stuck in paws, ears, eyes and fur… especially after walks through long grass. So we always check these areas after an outing!

A few things to watch for:
💚 excessive licking of paws
💚 head shaking
💚 swelling
💚 limping
💚 sudden sneezing or irritation

A quick check-over after walks can make a big difference… and if they’re really prone, they do look awfully cute in ear muffs 🥹🐶
