We’ll be there with Mary Puppins & Perky Paws from 10am–4pm, bringing lots of Slobberchops favourites along with us 💚 Come and have a nosey, say hello, and stock up while you’re there 👋

Mr Slobberchops is coming to Bark at Staunton Park🐾🌿

We’ll be there with Mary Puppins on Sunday 6th September, 10am–4pm at Staunton Country Park, and we’ll be bringing plenty of Mr Slobberchops products with us too.

It’s a family-friendly day for dog lovers, with stalls, activities, demonstrations, and a fun dog show... so basically a lovely excuse to spend the day surrounded by dogs 😂

Come and find us, have a chat, and stock up on your Slobberchops favourites while you’re there 💛

Why amber bottles? 🤎🐾

Very glamorous behind-the-scenes content today… a bulk delivery of empty bottles 😂
But there is a reason our Don’t Bug Me Now sprays are in amber bottles, and it’s not just because they look nice!

The amber colour helps protect what’s inside from light exposure, which is especially useful when you’re working with natural, plant-based ingredients.
We still recommend storing them sensibly ~ away from direct sunlight and heat where possible ~ but the little details matter.

Natural pet care, with a bit of thought behind it. 🍂

📦 Royal Mail Delivery Update 📦

We’re aware that some Mr Slobberchops parcels have not been delivered recently, and we completely understand how frustrating this is — especially when you’re waiting for products for your pets.

After spending almost an hour on the phone to Royal Mail today, we’re sadly no further forward. Even though the parcels were sent with tracking numbers, they’re unable to tell us where they are, when they’ll be delivered, or even if they’re definitely still moving through the system.

To make matters even more unhelpful, Royal Mail will not class them as missing until 8th July, which is incredibly difficult for a small business trying to support customers properly.

Please know we are doing everything we can from our side, and we’ll continue to keep affected customers updated as best we can.

Thank you for your patience and understanding — it really does mean a lot when things are completely out of our hands. 🐾

☀️ Why can fleas become a bigger problem in warm weather?

Because heat can speed up their life cycle.

Fleas go through four stages:
🥚 Eggs
🐛 Larvae
🛡️ Pupae
🦟 Adult fleas

When conditions are warm and favourable, this cycle can happen more quickly — which means flea populations can build faster than many owners realise.

It’s also why consistency matters. Flea prevention works best as a routine, rather than as a reaction once you’ve spotted one. 🌿🐾

☀️ What happens to fleas & ticks when it's this hot? 🌿
You might think extreme heat sends them packing... but it's a little more complicated than that.

🕷️ Ticks don't enjoy drying out, so during the hottest parts of the day they'll often retreat into cooler, shaded, more humid areas like long grass, hedgerows and woodland undergrowth.

🦟 Fleas are a little different. Warm temperatures can actually speed up their life cycle, meaning they can reproduce more quickly when conditions are right.

So while we're all adapting to the heat, these little pests are adapting too.
It's a good reminder that summer isn't just about keeping our dogs cool ~ it's also a time to stay consistent with parasite prevention! 🌿🐾

When the weather heats up, it's easy to feel guilty if your dog's usual routine has to change ~ But dogs don't measure a good day by the number of miles they've walked.

A cool place to rest, fresh water, a game in the garden, a frozen treat, time with their favourite humans... Sometimes that's more than enough!

The adventures will still be there when the weather is kinder. Until then, enjoy summer in ways that keep your dog safe and comfortable. 💛🏵️
