Well it is official, history has been made! With confirmation received today from The Royal Kennel Club.

I am absolutely thrilled to announce that Nellie has officially become the first-ever White Miniature Schnauzer to be awarded the prestigious Junior Warrant (JW) title!

Hence forth she will be known as:

Dando Guerra Del Badulake With Wallensis (JW) (IMP ESP)

The Junior Warrant is one of the highest and most coveted accolades a young dog can achieve in the UK show circuit. Awarded by The Royal Kennel Club, it is a title that cannot simply be won in a single weekend. A dog must accumulate 25 points at both Championship and Open shows between the ages of six and 18 months, winning highly competitive classes against top-tier competition. It requires unwavering consistency, flawless breed type, and exceptional star quality. Achieving this is a monumental milestone, not just for me, for House of Wallensis, but for White Miniature Schnauzers in breed, proving that they belong at the very top of the pedigree stage along with their counterparts.

This historic milestone truly took a village, and I am overflowing with gratitude for the incredible team behind her success, who have been so gracious:

• To her breeder, Jose Hellin: Thank you for entrusting me with this absolute superstar. Your vision, dedication to the breed, and impeccable breeding made this historic moment possible.
• To both Joe McDonald and Lisa Parker who assisted with her handling: Thank you for your masterclass in the ring. Your expert handling, patience, and bond with Nellie allowed her to shine bright and catch the eyes of judges across the country.
• And last but by no means least, to her groomer, Lisa Parker Cpg: Thank you for your artistry, you are a wizard. A white coat requires meticulous care, and you present Nellie looking utterly immaculate, trim after trim, showcasing the perfect Miniature Schnauzer silhouette.

Nellie took the ring by storm, and now she carries the letters 'JW' after her name forever. I could not be prouder of my darling historic girl!

And a thank you to Georgie Willetts for capturing these photos of Nellie.

A pupdate to share from the Correa family and Mumma Gertrude's darling Betsy, 3 1/2 months of age.

"Hurricane Betsy blew in about seven weeks ago. To say we were bowled over is an understatement. Gradually over the past few weeks we have got to know each other and life has settled into a new rhythm, albeit still chaotic at times, but that is life with a puppy is it not? She is growing like Topsy, and is a real head turner, impossibly cute, and also with a mind of her own. She is enjoying her walks, and loves to learn. Puppy Class is far too exciting but repetition at home is paying off. She loves to learn and is a clever girl. Thank you Donna for all your support, especially in the early days."

Trivia for you on the history of our darling breed…..

Tragically, early history saw many white puppies culled at birth under the false assumption that they were albino and destined for a life of severe disability.

And yet, nature had a beautiful way of proving those sceptics wrong. Though these puppies enter the world with pink pads and noses, over their first week or so of life, mother nature works her magic like a watercolor artist, drawing her brush, slowly bringing out their beautiful black pigmentation.

Witnessing this stunning transformation is a wonder that will never grow old.

Below are photos of the same puppy over the duration of a week.
