🐾 A Message from Chilli... 🐾

Firstly, Chilli would like everyone to appreciate his fresh trim in this pic and acknowledge that he's looking particularly handsome in this photo. 😌

Secondly (and more importantly), Chilli wants to remind everyone that our cancellation policy is completely relaxed during this heatwave. ☀️

We know we keep mentioning it, but if it's too hot for your dog, please just cancel your booking and we'll issue a full refund. Just send us an email and we will sort it.

We'd much rather people cancel than risk bringing their dogs out in temperatures that aren't safe.

We've been blocking some daytime slots so that new bookings can't be made during the hottest parts of the day when customers are rescheduling from them.

Chilli's advice for the next few days? Spend as much time as possible in front of a fan—just like him! ❤️🐾Although he would appreciate an upgrade to aircon.

📢 A Few Reminders & Updates 🐾

🚿 The Dog Wash Is Now Open!
Our new dog wash is up and running in the car park. In the current hot weather, please let the water run for a few seconds before use, as water sitting in the hose may have warmed up in the sun.

Have you tried it yet? We'd love to hear what you think!

💧 Changes to Water Stations
We've removed the large water container from the car park now that the tap is available. You can fill the water bowl directly from the tap, which should help keep the water for your dog too.

We'll keep the second water container in the field shelter for now.

You're always welcome to bring your own water and bowls if you prefer. If you use one of the communal bowls, please empty it afterwards so the next visitor can choose whether to use it or their own bowl or water.

🩹 First Aid Kit Added
You may have noticed that we've now added a human first aid kit alongside the dog first aid kit that we have had for a long while in the field shelter.

If you do use anything from either first aid kit, please let us know so we can make sure it's restocked and ready for the next person.

New Toy Box 🧸💦

Good news! The toy box by the water splash has been replaced after the old one lost its lid. We've stocked it up with some brand-new water toys ready for plenty of fun 😍

We've also restocked the toy box in the field shelter with some new toys too! 🦴
Plenty to keep everyone entertained on their next visit.

As always, please help us keep the field tidy by popping toys back in the boxes when you're finished. 😊Please remember not to throw toys or encourage ball play in the hot weather!

The boys weren’t exactly thrilled this morning when the alarm went off at 4am! 😴

I wanted to get down to the field early to refresh the water splash and get some strimming done before the heat kicked in, so it seemed like the perfect chance to get them out of the house for a few hours too. It was lovely and cool for them.

Harley had other ideas. He wandered around for a bit, supervised the work briefly, then promptly climbed back into his crate in the boot and declared it was nap time. 🐾😂

To be fair, I can’t say I blame him—4am is a bit of an ask for anyone!🐶

🌳 Dog Fields with Shade! 🌳

With the warm weather here, we thought it would be useful to share some of our favourite dog fields that offer a bit of natural shade. ☀️🐶

We often mention many of the lovely local fields with ponds but some Dogs just are not fans of dipping their toes! (Our Chilli certainly prefers to stay clear of water)

We love visiting dog fields both locally and further afield, and a little woodland can make all the difference on a warm day.

Some of our favourites include:
🌳 – they have a lovely small wooded area at the back of the field which our dogs always enjoy exploring. It can be quite tricky to get a booking though, so plan ahead if you want to visit!
🌳 – home to two fantastic fields. Their Woodland Paws field includes a fenced woodland area.
🌳 The Stilton Dog Field – they have a Woodland Walk with lovely features in it.

Acorn & Walnut Season – A Gentle Reminder 🐾

We usually share this later in the year, but with the unseasonably warm weather, we’re already seeing walnuts and acorns starting to form! 🌳

Our field is a natural environment, home to mature trees. They provide essential shade, creating a cooler and more comfortable space for dogs — especially important during the summer months.

Whilst all of our newer trees are dog-friendly varieties, some of our established trees were here long before dog fields existed and include Walnut and Oak trees 🌿

Acorns and walnuts will fall on the floor. This means they’ll be on the ground over the coming months 🍂

These are harmful if eaten by dogs, just as many plants and natural features can be when out in the countryside.

💛 If your dog is likely to pick things up and eat them, and you find it difficult to prevent this, please consider whether the field is the right environment for you during this time.

☀️🐾 Heatwave Update 🐾☀️

With an Amber Heat Health Alert in place this week, temperatures are set to be exceptionally high. Unfortunately, it will be too hot for field visits for much of the week, and even during the cooler early morning and evening hours, conditions may still be unsuitable for some dogs. 🥵🐶

Please don't take any chances – if you're unsure, it's always best to cancel. ❤️

We're once again suspending our usual cancellation policy until next week. If its too hot for your dog, simply get in touch and we'll provide a full refund, even if it's right before your booking. We completely understand that forecasts and conditions can change quickly. 😎

You can move your booking online up to 12 hours before your slot by logging into the Members Area using the email address you booked with.

📧 For last-minute cancellations, please send us an email directly.

If we're busy and can't reply straight away, don't worry – we'll process your refund as soon as we can.☀️
