❤️🐾 FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART, THANK YOU! 🐾❤️

Sometimes, when you’re doing rescue work, you have moments where you stop and realise just how incredibly kind people can be. Today is one of those moments. 🥹❤️

I do this on my own, trying to give vulnerable dogs a chance at a better life, and I honestly couldn’t do it without the kindness and generosity of people who believe in what I’m doing.

Over the last few days, I’ve been completely overwhelmed by the support shown to me and the dogs in my care.

People have donated cosy blankets to keep them warm. Someone has bought a dog bed so they have somewhere comfortable to rest. Someone has bought a winter coat to help keep Felix warm. People have donated worming treatments and flea treatments to help get these dogs healthy again. Treats and toys have arrived to bring a little happiness into their lives. Cash donations have come in to help cover essential veterinary treatment. And, incredibly, someone has even donated money towards a wildlife camera to help me with my trapping work and give more dogs the chance of being brought to safety. 🥹❤️

Every single one of these things matters. These aren't just donations. They're little pieces of kindness that come together to change lives. I never take any of this for granted. Every item, every penny, every message and every offer of help means more to me than I can properly put into words. Rescue isn't always pretty. It can be exhausting, emotional and expensive. There are times when I worry about how I'm going to fund the next vet bill or afford the equipment needed to help the next dog. But then people step forward, often without even knowing how much their kindness means, and remind me that I'm not doing this completely alone. To every single person who has donated something, bought something, sent money, offered help or simply taken the time to support and share my posts, THANK YOU.

Whether you've donated £1 or £100, a blanket, a bed, a toy or a treatment, you are part of these dogs' journeys towards a better life.

I wish I could give every one of you a huge hug! Ok that might be pushing it 🤣🤣

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in me, supporting my little rescue, and helping me give these dogs the chance they deserve. There are still so many dogs out there who need help, and with your support, I can keep trying to make a difference, one dog at a time. It takes a village to save a dog, and I'm so grateful to have so many kind people in mine.

With love and the biggest thank you,

Catherine

🐾 HELP NEEDED – WILDLIFE CAMERA URGENTLY REQUIRED*🐾

I am currently trying to trap a stray dog who desperately needs help, and I’m looking for someone who might be able to lend me a wildlife camera to help with the rescue. ❤️

A wildlife camera would allow me to monitor the area, understand the dog's movements and feeding patterns, and work out the best way to safely and successfully trap them.

If anyone has a wildlife camera they would be willing to lend me, even for a few days, I would be incredibly grateful. 🙏

I am doing everything I can to get this dog to safety, but sometimes a little extra help and the right equipment can make all the difference.

📩 Please message me if you can help, or if you know someone who might have a camera available.

Sharing this post would also be hugely appreciated. Every little bit of help brings us one step closer to getting this dog safe. 🐾❤️

Thank you so much! ❤️

🐾❤️ Little wins with Felix! ❤️🐾

Look at this clever boy responding to his name and coming when he's called!

It might seem like something small, but for a dog who has already had such a rough start in life, these little milestones mean so much.

We're building trust, confidence and learning together, one step at a time. 🐾

So proud of you, Felix. ❤️ Every day is a new beginning. 🏡

❤️🐾 A VERY HAPPY UPDATE ON KEIKO, NOW KNOWN AS BRAMBLE! 🐾❤️

I am so happy to announce that Keiko, now Bramble, has settled in beautifully to her new 🏡

She is being absolutely spoilt rotten and is already enjoying so many adventures that she's missed out on for most of her life. From lovely walks to discovering new places, she's finally getting to experience all the wonderful things every dog deserves.

And next week, she's off to the coast for the VERY FIRST TIME! 🐾 I have a feeling she's going to absolutely love it, and hopefully, I'll be able to keep you all updated with some pictures of her adventures!

It's hard to put into words how happy it makes me to see one of my rescues find exactly where they're meant to be. ❤️

But the adopter's words say it all:

"It certainly feels like everything in the universe came together to match the two of them!!"🥹❤️

And honestly, what more could I possibly ask for?

Bramble's story is exactly why I do what I do. Every dog has a story, and sometimes all they need is someone to give them a chance, help them find their feet, and make sure their next chapter is everything they deserve.

🐾❤️ CAN ANYONE HELP FELIX? ❤️🐾

I'm desperately looking for a warm dog jumper or coat for him. 💔

As you can see from the photo, he has very little weight on him, and his bones are showing. He has a long way to go before he's where he needs to be, and I want to make him as comfortable as possible while he recovers.

I'm looking for something that will help keep him warm and cover his bony body while I work on getting him back to a healthy weight.

If anyone has a spare jumper or coat that might fit him, (hes 21kg and quite long), I would be incredibly grateful.

I don't mind if it's second-hand, as long as it's clean and in good condition. ❤️ I'm in the Little Downham/Ely area and can collect locally.

I do all my rescue work independently, and every little bit of help makes a difference.

Thank you for helping me him the comfort he deserves. 🐾❤️ Please feel free to share so we can find the person who has one.

🐾❤️ LITTLE UPDATE ON MY LATEST RESCUE FELIX ❤️🐾

We’ve just been to the vets for a check-up, and I’m pleased to say he’s passed with flying colours! 🥰

The vet estimates him to be around 10 months to 1 year old, so he’s still only a baby himself. ❤️

It’s hard to imagine what this little lad has been through already, but he’s now getting the care, comfort and attention he deserves.

Every day is another step towards a brighter future for him, and I’m looking forward to seeing him continue to grow in confidence and show us more of his lovely personality. 🐶💙

One thing is for sure… He deserves nothing less than the best from here on out.

Please give this boy a little bit of love in the comments. He’s had enough bad luck in his short life, and now it’s time for some good luck! 🍀🐾

❤️

❤️🐾 FELIX UPDATE… AND HE'S ALREADY MAKING HIMSELF AT HOME! 🐾❤️

Remember Felix? My underweight, neglected, flea-ridden lurcher who arrived needing a little bit of kindness, a warm bed and a full belly? 🥹❤️

Well, just look at him now!

First things first, the fleas have gone! 🎉 Tomorrow, he's off to the vets for a full check-over, and we'll take things from there.

But in just a few days, I'm already starting to see the little personality hiding underneath everything he's been through.

And what a gorgeous boy he is! ❤️

🐾 He's playful! He's already learning how to play with toys and teddies, and watching him gently discover the joy of playing is just lovely.

🐾 He's respectful! He's been brilliant around my other dogs, showing a lovely awareness of them and learning how to interact and play appropriately.

🐾 He's a foodie! 😂 In fact, this boy has a serious appetite. He managed to gobble down 24 sausages that were left on the side! Yes, TWENTY-FOUR! 🤦‍♀️😂 I think I can safely say that food is definitely one of his favourite things. I'll be making sure he gets the right nutrition to help him regain his weight safely.

🐾 He's a sensitive soul.Felix is still figuring out this whole affection thing. He enjoys a gentle stroke, but he's not quite sure what to make of everything yet. He's learning that human hands can be kind and that he doesn't have to be afraid.

🐾 He loves his comforts! A cosy bed, a soft teddy and somewhere warm to curl up, and he's one happy boy. ❤️ Just look at him snoozing away!

🐾 He's a little unsure of horses. He's been frightened when encountering them, but he hasn't completely shut down. He just needs a calm, confident person to guide him, give him reassurance and show him that the world isn't such a scary place.

Felix is estimated to be around two years old, but honestly, there's something so puppy-like about him. He's discovering things, learning how to play and working out how this new world operates.

It's almost as though I'm getting to meet the dog he should have been allowed to be all along. 💔❤️

And that's the thing about rescue. Sometimes, you don't need to do anything extraordinary. You just need to give them time, patience, kindness and the opportunity to learn.

I don't know everything Felix has been through, and I won't pretend to. But I can see that he's starting to relax, explore and enjoy himself.

Remember what his name means? Felix means happy, fortunate or lucky. ❤️

I'm hoping that from now on, he'll get to experience a little more of all three.

He's still under assessment while I get to know him properly, build up his health and understand exactly what sort of home will suit him best. I'm not rushing him. He deserves for me to get this right.

For now, he's safe, he's flea-free, he's got a full belly (although I'll be keeping a much closer eye on any unattended sausages from now on! 😂), and he's got a lovely big bed to call his own.

Welcome to the good life, Felix. ❤️

Your past might not have been kind to you, little man, but your future is looking brighter already. 🐾❤️

I do this because I believe every dog deserves a chance, even when their start in life hasn't been what it should have been.

I can't change Felix's past, but I can do my best to make sure his future is different.

One dog at a time. One life at a time. ❤️🐾

❤️🐾 FROM NEGLECT TO NEW FRIENDS… LOOK AT FELIX NOW! 🐾❤️

Do you remember Felix?

Our underweight, neglected, flea-ridden lurcher who arrived needing a little bit of kindness, a warm bed and a full belly.

Well, just look at him now!

Today, Felix went on his FIRST WALK with all his new friends and honestly, my heart could burst watching this video. 🥰

Look at him playing! Look at him interacting with the other dogs! Just being a dog and enjoying himself, doing all the things that every dog should have the chance to do.

It's easy to forget that behind every rescue dog is a story we may never fully know. We don't know what Felix has experienced, what he's missed out on or how long it's been since he was able to just run around and have fun.

But today, none of that mattered.

Today, he got to play. He got to make friends. He got to explore the world around him and enjoy being part of a pack.

And that's what rescue is all about. ❤️

It's not just about getting a dog out of a bad situation. It's about giving them the opportunity to discover what life SHOULD feel like.

Warm beds. Full bellies. Gentle hands. New friends. Adventures. Freedom. And finally, the chance to just be a dog. 🐾❤️

We've still got a journey ahead of us with Felix, but look at how far he's come already.

And remember what his name means? Felix means happy, fortunate or lucky. ❤️

Maybe his luck really is changing.

One thing is for sure, Felix. Your past doesn't define your future, little man. And if this video is anything to go by, you're certainly making the most of your second chance! 🥹❤️

THIS is why we rescue. THIS is why we never give up on them. And THIS is why every single dog deserves a chance.❤️

Welcome to the good life, Felix. You've earned every second of it. ❤️

💔❤️ ONE NIGHT. A WARM BED. A FULL BELLY. MEET FELIX.❤️

Sometimes, it's the simplest things that make the biggest difference.

One night in a warm bed.
One belly full of food.
One safe place to finally rest.

And just look at the difference it can make. 🥹

Meet Felix. 🐾

Felix came to us underweight, neglected and absolutely covered in fleas. Another little soul who has been let down and deserves so much more from life.

We don't know his whole story yet. We don't know how long he's been living this way or what he's had to endure. But we do know that from the moment he came through our door, things started to change.

Last night, Felix had somewhere warm and comfortable to sleep. He had food in his belly and a safe place to lay his head.

It might not sound like much to some people, but to a dog who has been neglected, these simple things can mean everything. ❤️

And then there's his name.

Ive called him Felix. A Latin name meaning happy, fortunate or lucky.❤️

There's something incredibly poignant about that, isn't there?

Perhaps Felix hasn't been particularly fortunate so far in his life. Perhaps happiness is something he's been missing for far too long.

But I'd like to think that from now on, his name can represent something different.

A little bit of luck.
A whole lot of happiness.
And the beginning of a life where he never has to wonder where his next meal is coming from or where he'll sleep at night.

He's got a journey ahead of him. We need to get some weight back on him, thankfully fleas have now been treated with nexguard and make sure he gets everything he needs to be healthy and happy.

But for now, he's safe. And that is a pretty wonderful place to start. 🐾❤️

This is why i do what we do at Bark and Find. I can't change the past for these dogs, no matter how much we wish we could. But we can change their future.

One dog at a time. One life at a time.

Welcome to your new beginning, Felix. May the rest of your life be as beautiful as you deserve. ❤️🐾

And may you finally be as lucky as your name suggests. ❤️

As i find a home for one dog i have Another one coming through the door this evening 💔

A lurcher who is underweight, neglected and flea-ridden. Another dog who deserves so much more than whatever life has dealt them so far.

I honestly don't think I'll ever understand how people can allow animals to get to this point. They rely on us for everything, and yet so many are let down by the very people who should be caring for them.

Tonight, this one gets a chance. ❤️

A full belly, some much-needed care, a safe place to sleep and, most importantly, a chance to start again.

There is no judgement here, just a determination to help them feel safe, get healthy and find the life they should always have had.

This is what Bark and Find is about. Picking up the pieces when others have failed them.

One dog at a time. 🐾💔❤️

Welcome to safety, little one. Let's see what we can do for you. 🐾
