How do I know if my dog has bloat or a twisted gut?
Twisted gut in dogs can arise when they have exercised too quickly before and after eating. It’s important to be able to spot when a dog has bloat, so you can react quickly and avoid the gut from becoming twisted.

Below are some typical signs of bloat:
• Retching or not being able to vomit
• A swollen, hard ‘bloated’ belly or pain when touched
• Restlessness, pacing, or paws extended with chest close to the ground
• Excessive panting, drooling or breathing difficulties
• Pale gums
