Clients please be aware of upcoming road closures which will affect accessibility to the practice.

The A495 in Ellesmere is to be resurfaced from Sparbridge roundabout to Newton, from Tuesday 2 June to Friday 3 July.

🚧 Work will be carried out from 9.30am to 4pm each day (weekdays only) when the road will be closed.

❗ During the closures there will be no on-street parking but access to the work area will be maintained for the following:

▶️ Residents living within the closure, when safe to do so.
▶️ Businesses located within the closure, when safe to do so.
▶️ Pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and equestrians
▶️ Emergency vehicles.

For all other traffic a signed diversion will be place. Depending on their vehicle type, road users may be able to choose an alternative diversion route.

People are asked to ensure vehicles are not parked on the road whilst the work is in progress.

Walking4hope passed through Ellesmere today on their journey from John O’Groats to Lands End as they passed the surgery Branch Partner Mark Spurdens spoke with them about the high level of mental health issues and su***de in rural farming communities and the veterinary profession. If anyone wants to follow or support Walking 4 Hope-Charity Page on their fundraising journey, it seems a very worthwhile cause.

Horse owners please be vigilant as cases of equine influenza appear to be on the rise.

As of 7 May, the Equine Infectious Disease Surveillance group has been notified of 44 laboratory-confirmed equine influenza outbreaks in 28 counties across the UK since early April.

Male neutered cat with an ear notch found in Lime close, Ellesmere very friendly black with a small white patch on the front on the chest. If you know him or he is your please get in contact with us! He is not microchipped.

This week marks the end of an era….after 18 years of keeping reception running smoothly Heather is hanging up the phone for the final time on Friday. I’m sure all our clients will join us in wishing Heather a very happy retirement.
