🎆 HAVE YOUR SAY: How do fireworks affect your pets? 🐾

Fireworks season is approaching, and while they can be enjoyable for people, the loud and unpredictable noises can be frightening and distressing for our pets.

Cats Protection is currently encouraging pet owners to take part in a Government consultation on future fireworks regulations. The consultation is looking at issues including the noise levels of fireworks and whether current regulations should be changed.

If your pet has ever:
🐾 Hidden or become withdrawn during fireworks
🐾 Shown signs of fear or anxiety
🐾 Tried to escape
🐾 Become unsettled or distressed
🐾 Needed extra reassurance or support

your experience matters. ❤️

You don’t need to be an expert, and you don’t have to answer every question. Sharing your experience could help provide valuable evidence about how fireworks affect pets.

⏰ The consultation closes at 11:59pm on Wednesday 7 October 2026.

👉 Have your say here: https://www.cats.org.uk/mediacentre/pressreleases/fireworks-consultation

Please consider taking a few minutes to read through and complete the survey and share your experience. 🐶🐱🐰
