Each full programme provides 40 hours of CPD, and has 4 simple stages:

1. Learn Online – Build your knowledge with focused online teaching.

2. Practise – Develop your skills over two days of hands-on practical training with specialist tutors.

3. Apply – Take your learning back into practice, with opportunities for case discussion.

4. Reflect – Consider how your learning has influenced your clinical approach and decision-making.

Use these top tips to help you during your next extraction 🦷👇

1) Ensure you cut the attachment around each tooth, within the sulcus, to the level of the underlying alveolar bone before trying to raise a flap.

2) Always use finger-stops to maintain control of the elevator or luxator blade and reduce likelihood of slippage thus injury to yourself or patient.

3) Never dig blindly down a hole – this often leads to displacement of fractured root portions into the nasal cavity or mandibular canal.

Test Your Endoscopy Knowledge!

You are presented with an overweight Beagle who has a chronic cough. Initial haematology and biochemistry testing is unremarkable, and the dog is clinically bright and happy when not coughing. The dog is treated for lungworms. Chest radiographs are unremarkable so you perform a bronchoscopy. The bronchoscopy is largely normal apart from increased mucus in the lower airways, and your bronchoalveolar lavage sample is compatible with moderately increased numbers of macrophages, lymphocytes and non-degenerate neutrophils. Bacterial culture is negative.
