2027 bookings!

Important announcement please read 🙂

Block bookings are now open for 2027!

Come 2027 there will be a slight change at Handsome Hounds. As some of you will know I have been really struggling with my back/neck these past few months and I’m now at the point where my body really can’t take anymore!

For this reason I’m attempting to lighten my load and take the strain of my back by having help in the salon in the form of a permanent bather Monday- Wednesday.

Your dogs will still be trimmed by me and grooms will be exactly the same but may take slightly longer as we have a cross over of dogs coming and going from the salon. Please note dogs will not be allowed to mingle although in the same space.

This may affect those of you whose dogs need to be the only dog in the salon. These dogs will only be offered appointments on a Thursday or Friday when I will work alone therefore will be limited.

Saturday bookings will also be limited to 2 Saturday a month so if you need a Saturday please block book asap.

With this in mind I must express again that no shows will not be tolerated and 24 hours notice must be given if you can’t make your appointment. If you fail to do this the full groom price will be due, if you fail to pay for your missed appointment, all your future bookings will be cancelled.

Please if you have any questions drop me a message. I really hope these changes wont affect you all, but have a massive impact on my longevity.

❤️ Thank you ❤️

Just a quick update with the weather this week ☀️

The salon is fully air conditioned and for the most part of the day shaded by the trees and buildings which keeps the space lovely and cool.

I will of course monitor how the temperatures are as the day goes on this week, and if there are any concerns I will of course let anyone who’s booked in know.

☀️I will not be using heat on the dryers so your dogs may not look as finished as they usually do.
☀️Water will be offered as usual and breaks will be provided if needed for your dogs.
☀️ Please park right outside the gate and if you’re concerned please keep your car running with the aircon on and I will come and get your dog, just pop me a text.
☀️ Make sure you’re not walking your dogs to me, only bring them in an air conditioned car.
☀️ Although fresh water is offered, some dogs are snobs and only like their own bowls. If your dog falls into this group please feel free to bring it with you.
☀️ Any dog displaying signs of overheating on arrival will be turned away for their safety.

Extreme weather like this can be very unsettling for some dogs please make sure you’re planning ahead and contact me as soon as possible if you have any concerns!

Thank you
April 😊
