SORRY FOR THOSE WHO ARE NEW TO MY PAGE THIS WILL BE AT FALCON CLUB EGREMONT AT MY NEW PREMISES IM CURRENTLY RENOVATING
Good evening all , I hope everyone has had a fabulous evening in this delightful weather ๐
I just wanted to share some news with you all ,So after many month of thinking about what to do with all my other space in the building i have finally came to a decision
DRUM ROLL PLEASE
THE NOT SO WILD WEST
Where tired minds are better than tired legs.
Weโre so excited to announce that in 2027, a brand-new indoor with a small out door sensory & enrichment experience for dogs will be arriving
We often think that the best way to tire our dogs out is a long walk, a good run or lots of physical exerciseโฆ but exercising their BRAINS is just as important
Especially for young pups like Gracie and Daphne Felldefender Giant schnauzers Cumbria who would happily run around ALL DAY if I let them! Being young and still developing means they can't just be physically exercised for hours โ but of course, try telling them that! They're still absolutely full of beans with 10% brains
So we have to find other ways to keep those busy little brains occupied and help tire them out without relying solely on physical exercise.
And that's where mental enrichment comes in.
Dogs are naturally curious. They were made to sniff, search, investigate, explore and problem-solve and in some cases cause problems ๐คฃ Giving them opportunities to use their brains and incredible sense of smell can provide a different kind of stimulation to simply running around.
And enrichment isn't just for energetic puppies either
For dogs who are nervous, anxious or lacking in confidence, calm sensory activities can give them the opportunity to explore at their own pace, make their own choices and investigate new smells, textures and experiences without pressure.
Every dog is different, so there won't be a "one size fits all" approach. The aim is to create an environment where dogs can slow down, use their noses and brains and enjoy enrichment in a way that suits them.
And that's exactly what The Not So Wild West will be all about. ๐ต
๐พ Sniffing & searching
๐ง Problem-solving
๐ Using those incredible noses
๐พ Exploring different textures & sensory experiences
๐ค Building confidence
๐ค Encouraging calmness & decompression
๐ค And, most importantly, having FUN!
Because a fulfilled dog doesn't necessarily need to spend hours running aroundโฆ
Sometimes they just need the opportunity to use that incredible brain and nose. ๐ง ๐
So saddle up because thatโs not allโฆ Welcome to The Ranch! ๐ต๐พ
Alongside The Dog Barber and The Not So Wild West, The Ranch will have its own little shop too!
Weโll be stocking a carefully chosen selection of things we actually love and use ourselves โ for both dogs and horses
Expect natural dog treats and chews, essential grooming supplies to help keep your dog looking fabulous between appointments, plus a selection of useful dog supplies, enrichment goodies and everyday essentials for dogs and horses and evan the odd selection of used tack
The idea is to create more than just a grooming salon. We want The Ranch to become a little destination for local dog owners โ somewhere you can have your dog groomed, pick up their favourite natural treats and supplies, and eventually let them experience The Not So Wild West sensory and enrichment area.
The finer details of the sensory room will be explained nearer the time
