If you feed Years dog food please note that all lines have been recalled. Please STOP feeding it and contact the company.

There is a possible association between their foods and a condition called Dry Eye which can have serious consequences if left untreated. The exact cause is unknown but it is possible that there is a previously unknown association vetween buckwheat and Dry Eye.

If your dog might be affected please get in touch with us so we can do an eye examination and ensure they are ok.

In a change to our usual true crime podcasts, the dogs today were listening to presentations on the benefits of physiotherapy, stem cells, exercise, environmental adaptations, and loads more at the College of Animal Welfare Rehab Congress. I am lucky enough to be able to attend events like this as part of my volunteer role helping to support caregivers on the Canine Arthritis Management Holly’s Army Facebook group 🐕

What To Do If Your Dog Is Stung By A Bee or Wasp 🐝

Remain calm: your dog will often pick up on your reaction.

🐾 Check the area for a sting
🐾 Gently scrape the sting away if you can see it
🐾 Cool the area with cold water or a cold compress
🐾 Try to stop licking or scratching
🐾 Keep your dog calm and quiet
🐾 Watch closely over the next few hours

⚠️ Call your vet immediately if you notice: ⚠️
• Difficulty breathing
• Swelling around the mouth, throat, eyes or ears
• Vomiting or diarrhoea
• Weakness or collapse
• Excessive drooling
• Severe swelling
• Multiple stings
• A sting inside the mouth or throat
• Shaking, distress or seeming “not right”

Most stings are mild and settle quickly, but allergic reactions can happen fast and should always be treated as an emergency.

Calm. Quiet. Safe.

I was lucky enough to attend the Chronic Pain Symposium recently, it’s a big educational weekend for vets and allied professionals. The theme this year was how we can all work together to support pets and their care givers. Blue wasn’t so enthusiastic about it 😂

This was, what I call, a fun day 🤓 learning about heart disease, chronic pain, nutrition, end of life care, and loads more.
