We're back with our monthly annual report fact!

"In some cases, the Society re-homed dogs from particularly difficult situations.

In July 2011, a call came from a concerned vet. Max, a 4-and-a-half-month-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier, had been handed in with a horrific open head wound. The wound was so deep you could see his skull.

The Society covered the cost of Max’s treatment, and after a special appeal in the Daily Mail, we found him a loving home where he has healed and lives with two other Staffordshire Bull Terriers."

Indy, the 8-year-old Bichon Frise, was rehomed after his owners had a change in circumstances that meant they could no longer care for him.

Indy’s DAS owner says, “I saw Indy on the Dog Aid Scotland website and he looked perfect for me, so I submitted the adoption request form. I'm glad to say he settled in really well. We have lots of cuddles and he loves playtime with his toys, not to mention the odd treat or two! Indy also loves his walks along the banks of the local estuary, or in the local woodlands."
