🐾 Dog of the Week: Sooty 🐾
Meet Sooty, also known as T***s and Tortellini! A 6 year young Staffordshire Bull Terrier has been a Porty girl since she came home on fireworks night at just 8 weeks old.
Sooty grew up strutting the streets of Portobello, stopping anyone who made eye contact for a wee bit of attention, playing on the beach like she’d never seen sand before and sticking her nose into every shop and café she could find. She’s always been a happy girl and has certainly made herself known around the neighbourhood!
But Sooty isn’t your average dog, she genuinely thinks she’s human! She only eats her meals if everyone else is eating too, hates the rain but loves the snow, dips her toes in the sea but carefully avoids puddles, and insists on being fully tucked into a blanket whatever the weather. She doesn’t bark much, but she absolutely loves a good chat, understands practically everything you say and has to be involved in absolutely everything!
She’s also a big fan of bus rides, car trips, exploring new places, her ball, cuddles, lie ins and being towel dried after an adventure. And don’t even get us started on her love of sniffing and licking conkers! 😂
When it comes to treats, Sooty loves pretty much anything from The Dog Port, especially venison bones, black pudding sticks and ostrich tendon. Add peanut butter into the mix and you’ve got one very happy girl!
Sooty is full of character, quirks and love, and we’re so lucky to have this little Porty legend as part of our Dog Port community.
