Can’t quite believe I’m writing this so soon after losing Alfie.
Daisy has been part of the pack since 2018, she slotted in at the age of 10 as a golden oldie, plodding along, very easy, happy to be by your side, happy to also hide behind trees & give me the fear!
She’s been abit off the past few weeks, I personally didn’t think anything of it, the weathers been warmer & she’d been quieter than normal, I put it down to age to be honest, she’d not long turned 13.
She’s been off her food the past few days & her humans knew that wasn’t like her, and her breathing became laboured, so her walk with me this week was cancelled as they wanted to rest her. A vet appt today discovered she had a tumour on her liver, quite aggressive. A huge shock, and they were advised to do the kindest thing for Daisy.

I’m still in complete shock, as are her owners.

Daisy doll I’ll miss you sitting on your lonesome when the group poses end, and all your pals have came for a treat. I’ll miss you bringing a bunny or a teddy down the stairs. I’ll miss you ‘pretending’ you’re deaf. Ill miss your sweet gentle nature.

Completely broken hearted. I’ve had the absolute pleasure of having him since 2015. Alfie was diagnosed with a brain tumour in June & has been pushing on ever since. Still being his usual daft self, carrying anything he could pick up in parks. We thought last week that was him nearing the end, but he perked up & was still loving his walks just at a slower pace. He took his last dunk in the figgate burn, digging up rocks & grinding his teeth against them like he’s always done. Loving being in the water! Yesterday he took a turn for the worse so I managed to see him to say my goodbyes. He perked up & had one final night with his humans, before they had to make the awful phone call to the vet this morning. I managed to get there in time to give him some final cuddles, a handful of treats and told him how much I loved him.
He went peacefully in his owners arms.

Genuinely … the most daftest dog I’ve ever walked. Loved nothing more than winding the group up, jumping up on every stranger who dared to say hello to him, then demanded butt rubs 😂

I will miss you SO much, my little angel. 6 years of loving you #########

I’ve had a clear out & dropped off beds etc last week. Don’t forget about this place 🙏🏼 they rely on donations more than every right now x

Can you help?

Do you have any large towels or blankets that you no longer need? They could be put to good use at the Home as large towels and blankets are great for bedding.

Any items can be dropped at the Home on any day between 9am and 4pm. Thank you 🐾

*Note - Unfortunately, we are unable to accept duvets or pillows as they take up a lot of space and are often only single use items.

Hope everyone’s having lots of valentines snuggles with their furry kids 🐶

I’m sad to say that yesterday I found out one of my angels passed away 2weeks ago. I thankfully managed to see her before Christmas & could see that since covid last year, she’d deteriorated & was looking older. I gave her a kiss on the head knowing I wouldnt see her again.

Bloo was with us for a few years, quite frankly the easiest dog I have ever walked in the 7yrs I’ve had this business. Her owner is & will naturally be devastated.
She was lovely ❤️ As I’m slowly but surely getting round to planning the future of the business, I’m sad I won’t have this one lined up in the group poses with a buggy ###x
