A GOOD DOG WALKER IS WORTH THEIR WEIGHT IN GOLD! 🥇

A statement I heard recently, and one I absolutely need to repeat...

So many people work from home these days and think:

"I don't really need a dog walker."

But that shouldn't always be the thought process.

Instead, ask yourself:

"Does my dog get enough appropriate socialisation and experience around other dogs?"

One of the biggest things I see with reactive dogs is a lack of appropriate experience around other dogs from an early age.

And I'm not talking about letting your dog meet every dog they see on lead.

I'm talking about safe, controlled OFF-LEASH socialisation with suitable, well-balanced dogs, where they can learn how to communicate, interact, disengage and simply exist around other dogs without everything becoming a big event.

Learning these skills in the right environment can help build confidence and give dogs the tools they need to cope with other dogs as they grow up.

Of course, not every dog is suitable for every group, and off-leash socialisation should always be done safely, responsibly and with dogs that are appropriate for your individual dog.

But why wait until you have a problem?

Why wait until your dog is barking, lunging or becoming reactive before you start giving them these experiences?

Prevention is always worth thinking about. 👌

A good dog walker who understands dogs isn't simply taking your dog out for a walk.

They're helping your dog experience the world. 🧡
