🌟Scatter feeding🌟 spreading your dog’s food over a wider area turns mealtime into a fun, enriching activity that taps into their natural foraging instincts and powerful sense of smell🐶

It’s a simple way to keep your dog mentally and physically engaged while supporting overall wellbeing.

Scatter feeding can help reduce anxiety, prevent boredom-related destructive behaviours, and slow down fast eaters for better digestion.

On top of that, it builds confidence by giving your dog a rewarding, stimulating “job” to do just like nature intended😊

Morning routine completed😁
Walk 🐾 Breakfast🍗…and now it’s officially nap time 😴

Honestly, in this house a post-walk, post-breakfast snooze isn’t optional but it’s a must😁

Did you know? Sleep is essential for your dog’s health and behaviour!

Dogs need 12-16 hours of sleep a day (even more for puppies!) to:
✔️ Learn and remember training
✔️ Stay calm and well-behaved
✔️ Support their health and recovery

A tired dog isn’t a “naughty” dog-it’s often just an overtired one.

💤 Better sleep = happier, healthier, easier-to-train dogs!

Had a fun session recently with these three lovely girls, working on their recall! 🐾
They absolutely love playing the recall game, especially when there are tasty treats involved 😁

Walking multiple dogs can be a bit of a juggling act when they’re curious and eager to explore the surroundings. But with strong recall skills, it becomes so much easier (and way more enjoyable) for both dogs and humans! 🐾

If your dog’s recall could use a little boost, you know where to find us! 😉

🐾 Blanket Donations for Edinburgh SPCA 🐾

The Edinburgh SPCA are currently running low on blankets at their centre, and with the colder months coming in, they need our help to keep the pups warm and cosy. 🐶💤

If you have any spare blankets at home that you no longer use, please donate!!!

They’re well stocked with towels, sheets, and knitted blankets but they’re especially in need of larger, fluffy blankets to help line dog beds and provide extra warmth.

If you’re able to donate, it would be hugely appreciated! ❤️

Helping Your Dog Through Fireworks Season 🎆🎆
Especially those young pups who never experienced them before💥

Now’s the perfect time to start desensitizing your dog to firework sounds, so they can feel relaxed as much as possible and safe when the real bangs start.

Here’s a simple daily routine that can really help:

👉 1. Play firework sounds using Alexa, YouTube, or a speaker. Start at very low volume – so low that your dog barely notices.
👉 2. If your dog is calm, raise the volume just a little each day.
👉 3. If they react or seem worried, lower the volume again – no big deal. Just keep things calm and normal.
👉 4. Pair the sound with something positive, like a stuffed Kong, licky mat, or chew.
👉 5. Stay calm and neutral – no fussing, just carry on as usual so your dog takes their calmness from you.

💡 This daily practice builds your dog’s confidence and helps them associate the sounds with calm, positive experiences.

🎧 Here are a few great YouTube firework sound videos to use:

Start now and give your dog the best chance at a stress-free fireworks season 🐾

✨ More tips coming soon on how to help your dog cope on the actual day if they’re still struggling a bit, stay tuned!
