I'm not good at business. I'm not good at advertising, I don't have business cards,  I don't have a website, I'm rubbish at doing invoices and I usually forget to message people back. There's lots of things I'm not good at but I'm incredibly proud of our day care and what we've created for the dogs to enjoy.

1. We're honest - if your dog doesn't enjoy day care or our daycare isn't the right fit for your dog we'll always let you know.

2. We're good with over stimulation. Lots of dogs get over excited by dogs and activities. "constantly playing" can create reactivity. We focus on keeping things calm and allowing play with plenty of breaks.

3. We're run by a dog behaviourist. I trained in problem behaviour and have over 12 years experience. We wanted to create a space that improved dog behaviour rather than created an issue.

4. We aren't a big daycare. We don't have big groups. People often think our daycare is "too small" but If there's an injury or accident, we can be there quickly and don't have to guess what's happened.

5. We mix groups. We have puppies in with adult dogs and small dogs in with large dogs. We've done this on purpose too. How will puppies learn when their play if too much if they're only wrestling with other babies? How will small and large dogs learn how to interact?

6. We prioritise naps and rest. Dogs need between 12-14 hours of sleep a day. If they aren't getting that, they can become overtired and can have a lower tolerance. We provide regular opportunities for them all to just take five and recuperate.

7. We know your dogs personality. We get to know all of their likes and dislikes,we can tell if they've had a busy weekend or if something has happened. We talk about them all to our children, We want the dogs to like us, these are our coworkers that we spend our days with.

While we have everything in place for the heat, this Wednesday and Thursday is just far too hot for them. I know this will leave people stuck so I am still on hand both days to do check ins. Please drop me a message if you'd like a drop in or to book for an alternative day.
