Ah yes… the mysterious Dog Poo Fairy strikes again. 🧚‍♀️💩

Can someone explain the thought process here?

Step 1: Pick up the dog poo. ✔️

Step 2: Carefully place it inside a plastic bag. ✔️

Step 3: Tie said plastic bag to a fence in the middle of the countryside. ✔️

Step 4: …Wait for what exactly? 🤷‍♂️

Do some people think there’s a secret team of woodland elves roaming around the Scottish Borders collecting their abandoned poo bags? Is there a hidden conveyor belt system we’ve all somehow missed? 🤔

The logic genuinely baffles me.

You’ve already done the hard part by picking it up… why stop there?

Dog poo is unpleasant enough, but wrapping it in non-biodegradable plastic and then hanging it from a fence like some sort of bizarre outdoor Christmas decoration means it can sit there for months (or even years), all because someone couldn’t be bothered carrying it to the nearest bin.

Nobody wants to admire beautiful countryside views accompanied by a dangling bag of dog poo swinging in the breeze. 💩

And before anyone says, “I was going to pick it up on the way back…”

We’ve all heard that one before. Sadly, many of these little ‘gifts’ seem to become permanent residents.

Being a responsible dog owner doesn’t stop once the poo enters the bag. The job isn’t finished until it’s safely in a bin.

The Scottish Borders is a beautiful place. Let’s keep it that way for everyone – walkers, runners, cyclists, wildlife and, of course, our dogs. 🐾

Please… if you bag it, bin it.

Not fence it. Not branch it. Not hide it in the hedge for later.

Bag it. Carry it. Bin it.

HH. Because every dog deserves great walks… and every walker deserves better scenery than a bag of poo tied to a fence. 💩🐾

What can I say about little folly-wog. He is literally the easiest smartest little cleft I have ever had. Every time something new has been introduced he has just got it instantly! That being said he is a frenchi and I'm sure that stubborn attitude will start showing through soon 😆

Folly has a hard and soft cleft palate but can eat and drink from raised bowls without issue. I believe his cleft can be continued to be managed open but I can discuss this further with anyone interested. He is looking for a home with understanding of the French bulldog breed and the many issues they can get.

Folly needs to complete his vet checks and then will be looking for a new 🏡 if you think it might be you please get in touch: https://form.jotform.com/230486718723058

Checks and rehoming fee apply. ♡

We’ve had a lovely boarder this weekend. She is a terrier mix and came from the streets in Spain I believe.

Apparently she was named after a muppets character, however I like to think it’s after the sassy, tough RIzzo in Grease 😊

She has a lot to say for herself and has her quirks, however she’s a lovely girl and we’ve enjoyed having her.

Out latest boarder is a lovely older gent - a troubled soul with an unknown past. He’s a rescue, and very little is known about his history. He has his own set of issues that I’ve been gently working through. Luckily, he absolutely adores me, which helps a lot as we build trust. We take things nice and slowly, always going at his pace.

No two dogs are the same, so I take the time to figure out what works best for each unique personality. It takes endless patience, understanding, and of course, lots of love and cuddles 🥰
