After my maternity leave and a long WELL deserved time out I'll be returning to dog grooming at my home based custom build groom room!

We are supporting the campaign to ban the importation of dogs with cropped ears, to help stamp out this barbaric practice. 🚫

Ear cropping is a mutilation surgery done solely for cosmetic reasons. Young puppies are subjected to a painful surgery that removes one of their means of communication for no other reason than people wanting them to look a certain, unnatural way. This horrific procedure is illegal in the UK and many other countries, but dogs with cropped ears can currently be imported from countries such as the USA where it is unfortunately still legal.

Hi everyone! Hope you are all keeping well from Wednesday 3rd February I'll be booking
'WELFARE GROOMS'
Remember welfare grooms are very specific at the moment to avoid breaking the rules. so I need proof along with your enquiry. pictures of the following..
1.your dogs over grown nails or matted fur in the paw pads
2.your dogs eyes or ears that are affected by matting
3. Any visible matted fur on the body or around the dogs back end causing discomfort.

These will be my proof your dog has been assessed before a grooming session.
Any dog with skin issues will have to provide me with a thumbs up from your vet .
I will run the pics by my vet friend so please dont be offended if it is decided your dog is not a welfare case for now.
I'm still working one to one. no dogs over lap. Drop off and pick up will be discussed,

I apologise, I wont be able to take on any new customers till after july 💜 but will still be working with my regulars throughout my pregnancy and the lockdowns Please get intouch so I can make sure I get everyone out of a hairy mess by the end of april 😁

28weeks scan tomorrow to enjoy so Hope to hear from you all Wednesday onwards cant wait to see some of my dogs again genuinely missed them so much ! 💓

❗❗Covid Update

Within the last 48 hours new guidance / legislation came into play which states dog groomers should put off routine grooming with the exceptions of excessive matting / vet referrals Only.

DEFRA; “Groomers may accept a dog to be groomed by appointment where this is necessary for the animal’s welfare and not simply for aesthetic reasons. Welfare reasons could include on veterinary advice for a skin condition or excessive matting causing the pet discomfort. When routine grooming can be delayed without affecting the pet’s welfare until the national lockdown is eased it should be put off.

Welfare Grooms Can Include;
❗Severe matting.
❗ Severely overgrown nails
❗Skin conditions that need regular treatment as advised by vets

"The previous guidance stated routine grooming was beneficial for dogs welfare, this however now isn’t the case" So therefore I am NOT permitted to continue routine grooming to prevent matting nor groom short haired breeds and double coated,

Please contact me if your dog is in need of a "Welfare Groom" as stated above? I will need photo evidence so I can see if they are a priority or not or a Vet referral. To show proof I have followed the rules and performed a welfare groom,
