We’re delighted to share that Guild member Janine Shackell [Paws and Release Clinical Canine Massage] has been featured in the newest issue of Edition Dog Magazine with her article “Itchy, Scratchy, Wonky Dog!”

Janine’s piece dives into the often overlooked role of the skin, not just as a protective barrier, but as a sensory, reactive, communication rich organ that can influence posture, movement, comfort, and behaviour.
From itchiness to tension patterns, the skin can tell us a lot about what’s happening beneath the surface.

Her article offers insight into how changes in the skin can be early indicators of discomfort or soft‑tissue issues, helping guardians spot the signs sooner.

Beginners Guide to Canine Massage

This workshop is suitable for:

Pet Dogs
· Dogs with Arthritis/Hip Dysplasia
· Active younger dogs

· Dogs who have stopped doing things they once did e.g.: get on/off sofa, in/out of car
