Meet The Mares ✨
Name - Pluma
Age - 5
Size - 14.3-15hh
Temperament - A strong-minded mare with an abundance of stamina and a wonderfully sturdy build. She has plenty of character and a determined nature. An incredibly good doer, she seems to thrive on the mere thought of food
History - Pluma was living as a pet before we purchased her, she had been lightly backed but not seen much. She liked to boss her humans around which her owner admitted was the consequence of being allowed to push the boundaries since a foal ☺️
After being with us for only a few weeks, she went on to complete the full 100-mile South Downs Way — a challenging route from Wi******er to Eastbourne, within a week.
What made the achievement even more impressive was that she took everything in her stride, including riding through open fields with livestock. Her incredible stamina, toughness and confidence really came into their own, and she proved herself to be an exceptionally hardy and capable mare.
Needless to say she learnt an awful lot on this journey! She may be opinionated, strong-minded and likes to have her say, but underneath that is an incredibly brave, willing and determined horse. Once she trusts you, she will give you everything she has — and she has an enormous amount to give
Future - Pluma had now been turned out with Gaucho so we hope for a beautiful foal next year
This mare will be for sale, either with a stunning foal at foot or once the foal has been weaned
