BRITISH THERAPY K9 ASSOCIATION
The Therapy Dog Division of the British K9 Association
Helping Ex-Military Personnel and All Gentle Souls
Dogs possess a remarkable ability to offer companionship, reassurance and emotional comfort to those who need it most.
The British Therapy K9 Association recognises the special relationship between humans and dogs and seeks to encourage responsible, compassionate therapeutic work within our communities.
Assessment and Certification
We offer an assessment programme for owners and their dogs wishing to undertake therapeutic visits and activities.
Both handler and dog are assessed for their suitability, temperament, behaviour and ability to work safely and confidently with people in a variety of environments.
Successful applicants receive a British Therapy K9 Association Certificate of Suitability, confirming their assessment and authorisation for a period of twelve months.
Assessments are conducted several times throughout the year.
Would You and Your Dog Like to Make a Difference?
We welcome enquiries from responsible dog owners who believe their canine companions possess the temperament and qualities needed to bring comfort, companionship and reassurance to others.
Contact us to learn more about our assessment programme and enrol yourself and your dog.
