Why bring your elderly dog to Dog Splash? 💜

As dogs get older, they can naturally become less mobile and may struggle with activities they once enjoyed. Swimming gives them a way to keep moving without putting the same impact on their joints as walking on hard ground.

💦 Low-impact exercise
Swimming is gentle on joints because the water supports their body weight, making it a great option for older dogs who may find walking or running uncomfortable.

💪 Helps maintain muscle
Swimming uses lots of different muscle groups and can help older dogs stay active and maintain strength.

🦴 Gentle movement for stiff joints
The warm water can make movement feel more comfortable and allow dogs to move more freely.

❤️ Keeps them active
Just because your dog is getting older doesn’t mean they have to stop enjoying exercise and enrichment!

🧠 A little fun and stimulation
It’s not just physical exercise - getting out, exploring somewhere new and enjoying a swim can provide mental stimulation too.

And perhaps the most important one…

They still deserve to have FUN! 💦🥰

When it’s time to get out the pool… 😒😂💦

Anyone else’s pup suddenly forgets how to leave when it’s time to go home? Our swim swim sessions last a whole 30 minutes which gives your pup plenty of time to enjoy the water, get moving and have some fun, without making the session unnecessarily long. Although they’d love to stay in there all day!! 🤣💦💜
