Feline Care Cat Rescue Please visit our website to donate and follow us for regular updates from the FC family, thank you :) Thank you for your support.

Feline Care is home to over 150 at any time, many of which are looking for new homes, some of which will spend the rest of their days living in peaceful sanctuary. When we set up our page in 2011 our parent charity was closing us down unless we could raise the £70,000 needed to buy our premises, in Norfolk, UK. For a small rescue it seemed an impossible task but after 14 hard weeks we made it, thanks to the dedication of our volunteers and the generosity of the general public. Since then we have gone on to help many hundreds of cats find better and safer lives and we look forward to doing so until our feline friends no longer need us. Sadly we know that day will not be in any of our lifetimes, but we can hope! Feline Care was originally founded in 1997 by The Cat and Rabbit Rescue Centre charity, based in West Sussex. The CRRC operate a strict policy never to put a healthy animal to sleep which leads to a number of cats who take longer to re-home. Feline Care was founded to take on these 'unwanted' moggies and offer a forever-home to those with nowhere else to go. Over the years Feline Care has evolved as many of the nervous cats we take in have slowly learnt to love humans and have since found their own homes. Now we operate a regular rescue and rehoming sanctuary but with a difference because we will always aim to be here for those who need us most. Our attitude to euthanasia: we will only help our friends go for their final sleep when it is absolutely justified for their individual journey. We do not practice 'contextually justified' euthanasia as we believe we owe more than that to the cats in our care, euthanasia should never be for human convenience.

Our feral friend Suzie is so miserable right now because she's not a rain fan.

Here she is enjoying some sun rays on a happier day 😹

Always hate to think of all the cats and kittens who live outside in this weather, at least our free roaming colony still have the option of lots of shelter as well as their underfloor heated bedrooms.

Teenage Albus almost posing for us, he's not great at sitting still unless it's on a lap!

He'd like us to share a reminder that if you are thinking about adopting, you can complete an adoption application form on our website.

When we receive your form we check if there's any cats in our care who might be suitable for you and your home or lifestyle and then invite you to come and visit.

Quite often we don't have the right cat, in which case we'll just hold on to your details in case the next emergency we admit happens to be the perfect fit for you!

Find more info and our application form here: www.felinecare.org/adopt

Old lady Biddy has moved from donut to collar thanks to her over zealous grooming but it's not slowed her down or stopped her bossing!

She'll have another check up next week to make a plan for the rest of her recovery and health journey, in the hopes she'll be able to look for her retirement sofa and family soonish 😻

Beautiful older lady Orly, has had her world tipped upside down😿

At the grand age of 18+½ years old she didn't expect to find herself in a rescue centre.

Orly isn't looking for a new home just yet, we are awaiting her blood results to come back as it is very likely she will need to start on thyroid medication.

It's definitely the time of year to stay in bed a little longer 😻😻😻😻

Huge thanks to Frutella for all her hard work, she's been volunteering in our office today 😻

For a cat with a wonky brain she's got amazing keyboard skills and she even started working on our website's SEO text, a tedious job that's been waiting for months!

She's also collected all the scrunched up post-it notes she could find and put them all in our recycling.

When her help was no longer needed she fell asleep watching youtube videos in the recycling bin.

10/10, best office assistant ever 😻

It's taken Monroe 5 days to settle in here and to show his true personality, and oh boy isn't he a cutie😻

We are a little bit in love, from the hissy, growly boy he was when he came in. To now giving us the hardest of headbutts❤️
