The rescue has not closed down we are simply taking a breath until we can clear bills and accrue funds.
That will allow us to start taking in pets and be able to attend to all thier needs and be able to pay the huge cost including wages and running the pet rescue.
We still have in our care the cats and long term dogs, tortoise and birds, donations are greatly appreciated.
The fundraising campsite has paid the wages and made a large dent in the large utility bill that were outstanding from last winter and as the campsite has a 12 month license, we will endeavour to keep the campsite open through the winter months (weather permitting) as we don’t have another sauce of income and with raising rent cost. After 25years of caring for unwanted pets we do need your support to continue, we appreciate many home are struggling with the coast of living and facing your own bills.
We will be holding sales of ladies and gents good as new and new clothes, hand made craft that will make lovely gifts and down sizing sale of household items including crystal collection, books, clothes still with labels on.
So watch this post for sale details to be held in the marquee on the adjoining campsite! Tea and coffee will be available , hope to see many of you Regards and best wishes
Marj, Lee (my son who will be taking over the charity in time as I am not getting any younger)
Please also note the pet food bank is still in operation by referral’s from support services ie family food banks, social works etc.
The community vets clinic and surgical unit are taking new clients and new working practices ie if medication are cheaper on line we will offer a private prescription the choice will be yours!
