We don't want to see your dogs ☹️

Usually greeting our four legged customers is the best part of our day! However this week please leave them at home when you visit Bark Raw.

☀️ Whilst our stores are fully air conditioned and nice and cool for us humans, to get to the shop your dogs will need to travel in the heat which is just too warm for them!

Keep them at home in the cool and takeaway a doggy ice cream for them instead! Or we have a huge range of natural chews to choose from which will keep them occupied whilst it's too hot to exercise them.

Signs of heatstroke to look out for in dogs, shared from Dr David Marlin:

Faster, heavier panting
Barking, whining or signs of agitation
Excessive thirst
Excessive drooling
Increased pulse and heartbeat
Dark-coloured (red or purple) gums or tongue
Glassy eyes
Elevated body temperature of 40ºC and up
Staggering, weakness or collapse
Seizures
Unconsciousness

HEATSTROKE is a MEDICAL EMERGENCY and requires IMMEDIATE ACTION and VETERINARY SUPPORT.

Cool your dog by hosing or pouring COLD WATER all over the body or place them in a paddling pool to rapidly reduce temperature and call your vet!

WE HAVE RAW FOOD IN STOCK!

Some online retailers have paused their deliveries due to the heatwave this week and we’ve had a few visits from dog owners who were waiting for a delivery. Don’t panic, if you’re running low on raw food our freezers are fully stocked and we’re open 7 days a week!

We may not have your current brand in stock but with 12 different raw brands in store across different price ranges we are sure to have something to suit your dog!

Bark Raw Cam and Thornbury will both be shutting at 4:30pm this Thursday for staff training.

Apologies for the inconvenience but come in before 4:30pm to stock up. We’re still open 7 days a week & have a fully air conditioned shop to escape the heat ☀️
