Officially the worst day… 💔
This morning, on my way to pick up a couple of beautiful spaniels, I spotted a black and white cat lying at the side of the road. My heart immediately sank, so I turned the van around to stop and see if I could help.
Sadly, the poor little soul had already passed away. Cold, in pain and alone. 💔
I honestly cannot understand how someone could hit an animal and simply leave them there. Why could they not stop, or at the very least come back? There is absolutely no excuse for leaving someone’s beloved pet in that state at the side of the road. Maybe this little one could have been saved, or at the very least spared any further suffering and given some dignity.
My heart is completely broken, and I’d never even met this beautiful cat before. I’m so sorry this happened to you. You’re safe now, sweetheart, and I hope your family can be found so they can know what happened and say goodbye. ❤️
The cat is now at Gilmore Vets, where they will be cared for and kept safe while their family is contacted.
To the person responsible: please, if you ever hit an animal, stop and get help. These are someone’s babies. They have families who love them, and they deserve better than being left alone on the side of the road.
Today has absolutely broken my heart. 💔
