How Dogs Help Our Mental Health

Ever notice how a wagging tail can make a tough day feel a little lighter? Thatā€™s no coincidence ā€” our dogs are real-life therapy heroes in fur coats!

Hereā€™s how our pups work their magic on our minds:

- Stress relief: Petting a dog releases oxytocin ā€” the ā€œfeel goodā€ hormone ā€” and helps lower cortisol (the stress hormone). Instant calm!

- Companionship: Dogs remind us weā€™re never alone. Their unconditional love fills our homes ā€” and our hearts.

- Motivation to move: Daily walks arenā€™t just good for them ā€” they boost our mood, too! Fresh air, exercise, and wagging tails = happy humans.

- Mindful moments: Whether itā€™s watching them nap in a sunbeam or sharing quiet snuggles, dogs teach us to slow down and savor the little things.

So today (and every day), give your furry friend an extra cuddle and thank them for being the worldā€™s best mental health boosters. šŸ„°

A little shoutout to all the amazing humans Iā€™ve met simply because you chose me for your dogsā€™ treats šŸ§”

When I started Fur & Fun, I hoped people would love the treats, but I didnā€™t realise how many lovely people Iā€™d get to know along the way.

From our chats at markets to your messages, dog photos and updates, itā€™s been so lovely getting to know you and your dogs. So many of you have become familiar faces I look forward to seeing.

Thank you for choosing my little business and for being part of it all. It means more than you know šŸ§”
