What a day!!
23 horses cleaned across the north east with one sadly turned away. As much as I hate turning a horse away, sometimes itβs for the best.
Advised his owner to carry out some desensitisation work with him, in the hope that sedation can be avoided for a thorough clean at my next visitπ€π»
Loads of beans π« removed, along with all the nasty crusty bits.
I will add a photo of a horse who has been diagnosed with sarcoids by a vet. Just for educational purposes, these are things to keep an eye on. Some may never cause your horses any issues, but if these lumps and bumps change in size, colour or shape. Itβs always best to get your vet involved as they could turn into something nasty.
*Photo taken with his owners consent and to use for educational purposes*
**As I am not a vet, I cannot make a diagnosis. If I come across something like this, all I can say is that a lump or a bump is present and advise you to contact your vet to investigate**
