An early start for another trip to see our good friends at TMC Manchester. An amazing selection was available today and we came back with so much it was touch and go if it was all going to fit in the vehicle. They came up trumps once again with a Jacknife which I have been after for quite some time along with Red Cynerina and wonderfull Acanthophilia. Probably the craziest things we came back with were some huge P***s starfish (Choriaster granulatus) also nicknamed the doughboy starfish due to its plump, puffy appearance. Because its thick, rounded arms have inspired viral internet humor regarding its unintentionally ph***ic shape, it has earned several hilarious and cheeky nicknames.

Not had a chance to update on the new display until now. Not as I had first planned as the wrong tank design was delivered but worked around it and produced what still seems like a nice upgrade for a dark corner of the lounge. Now up and running as it cycles ready for new fish.

A species you don’t see very often is the 2 Line Monocle Bream, Scolopsis bilineata. They seem very peaceful in an aquarium and settle in very well except with their own kind where they don’t seem to get along at all.

Our good friends in TMC Manchester pulled something out of the bag for us this week, an amazing female Femininus wrasse. This thing literally shines in the aquarium.
